  • SHOP AT THE PRODUCER MICHAEL LUXURY BOUTIQUE: HTTP://WWW.PRODUCERMICHAEL.COM In this episode we tour a vacant Beverly Hills mansion listed for $81million. This huge mansion was built a few years ago and has never been lived in, unfortunately leading it to require some maintenance to get it back to it's former glory.

The master bedroom's bathroom is too far away. That's a long slog getting to, then through the bedroom's living room just to finally reach the bathroom. Then you gotta little hike to reach the toilet from there.

Michael pointed out the problem with this house when showing us the humidity in the wallpanelling. The cost of heating a property where each room is the size of a tenniscourt is astronomical. And it has to be heated to avoid the humidity penetrating the walls. In short, 100's of thousands of dollars just to pay the heating every year; even when you're not staying there. Most people with this kind of money have multiple properties; so for the 6 months a year it's just not worth it. Nobody will buy this house to live in. It is destined to be converted into something more practical. I would divide it up and make a boutique hotel with 15 smaller rooms and 10 high end spacious loft apartments for permanent residency with use of pool. gym.and porter. This will allow selling them off if ever necesssry. But that requires further investment and the price would have to be reduced by at least two thirds. It is, however unfortunately, the only viable option remaining. Otherwise it will slowly fall into disrepair. Such a shame. It was a poorly thought through vanity/ego project and an extremely unwise investment. Michael if you want to invest in property let me helo you find and design winners. Not this one, unless you can get it for a superorice.

developers that do this aren't total idiots. they know they will have to sit on it for years for it to find the right buyer. they intentionally over price them, hoping to snag a whale with no sense. most likely they only have $20 million in it. what's concerning is that the leaks and damages have not been addressed, yet they have a full time caretaker onsite?

The yellow wood in the office and that wardrobe is cheap, nasty and tacky. The furniture is all off.

After watching too many of these mansion tours I feel like a cinema should be the standard in every house. I will build a cinema in my house now 😳

It is not the house but the location that makes it so expensive.

This seems bigger than Henry VIII castle. I can only imagine him getting lost in here. Running from all his queens. A place like this can be really tiring to a point.
