Honestly not sure what Mavis based Fairy Glitter on, but I’m confident she based Fairy Sphere on the legends surrounding fairy rings. Lots of curses and legends tied to anyone entering them from the fairies within, a common legend is that anyone who enters could only be a few moments for them while weeks to years pass on the outside.
Despite claims that any wizard could us Fairy Sphere, I believe the user has to be quite strong to use it the way it was in the battle against Acnologia. Lucy had to channel all of the magic from people across the continent (as Meldy put it). This was a massive amount of power that rushed to her and she had to be able to mold and direct it into the sphere. I mean, that's a lot of raw power suddenly coming at her, the fact that she wasn't overwhelmed shows how proficient she had become, imo.
what ?! no.... pret and makarav did not cancel each others law spells... makarav canceled his own law under threat that if he used it that pret would use law against his family, ft guild....
so the usage of one fairy law stopped the other :) which in essence canceled the other spell. If i use a spell on you and its causes you to stop your own spell then your spells been canceled my dude whether you chose to stop your spell willingly or not

Makarov stopped his casting of Fairy Law because Precht threatened to cast Grimoire Law as well, and explained that if two instances of Law were cast at once, it would cause calamity, which we can assume would basically just explode the wide area around them both, probably killing everyone within a few miles.

Mavis did not make adjustment of Law to make it usable for others, the reason she got curse is because she used it unprepared it was stated in the Fairytail Zero
If these spells are supposed to be downgraded versions of other black magic spells I wonder how powerful the real deal was. After all Fairy Law was an altered version of Law, which was black magic and cursed Mavis
Fairy law was indeed improved upon version of the dark spell law. Which is what gave her the curse of ankhseram. She then devised the other two so as to protect the guild.
I think when it comes down to laxus I think like his grandfather he sees the potential of every one in the guild by somewhere along the way that view got warped and started thinking that they were weak and fairy law essentially reminded him of what he thought
I think it's a rather important part that's kind of glossed over that Law is dark magic, and the no aging thing isn't a side effect of specifically Law, but a curse for using dark magic unprepared. A kind of cosmic punishment for playing God, leaving her in the same state as Zeref: unable to die herself, but bringing it to all she loves.
but what if fairy sphere works on some kind of law like its ultimate defense spell, but acologia antimagic can just cancel it so the sphere keaping its laws juts make a time jump to time the acnologia was't there
@@artistboi3548 another downside is that someone who is fast enough can just dodge fairy glitter, even if the AOE is quite large. fairy law on the other hand will get you if you're just close enough to the user.

If u have energy power by yourself ,u can use fairys sphere to give yourself invis frames for a second 😂. Basically a dark souls dodge. Then u would be completely exhausted 😂. Better time that shit .
Uhhh.... bit of a goof for the fairy sphere part, but the main reason why it was drawing power from mages outside of the guild is because of another mage's spell, which quite literally makes bonds manafest and alows for all sorts of information and as seen with fairy sphere magic power
One thing I’ve always been curious about is why is Elfman’s beast soul so similar looking to Deleora (the demon that killed gray’s parents) and how gray doesn’t freak out from seeing Elfman take that form
It’s also interesting to see that the two of the three are offensive, but it was the DEFENSIVE spell that stopped the greatest threat of the series.

Fairy glitter doesn't seem to have any drawbacks to using it so I asume it's not quite as powerful as fairy law.
The drawback maybe that it can hit allies unlike fairy law which cannot as long as your heart sees them as an ally
