NEVER make and sell candles without testing them yourself. They haven’t done the hard work for you, they have just encouraged people to think making and selling candles is easy. It also traps people into only using the ingredients from candle shack. Either way, this is a bad idea and I would encourage everyone to buy ingredients from all sorts of places and test consistently yourself! Even the environment they are made in can make a difference. No such things as a tried and tested candle recipe. Good marketing strategy though.
Dear Kieran, We are a professional candle manufacturer, and we have made millions of candles that are out in the market. Every single recipe has been tested in accordance with the EN standards and soot testing behaviour, which you can see from the available reports.
@@candleshackltd3476 I’m well aware who you are. But the fact you have made candles that work doesn’t mean everyone will. Waxes behave differently from batch to batch, environment can change. Temps can differ slightly depending on room temp. There is no such thing as a fool proof candle recipe. Not only that, candle recipes are something that have been flying around for ages. It’s basically what every group has been doing for years. There’s nothing ground breaking about this. It’s simply a way to get new people into the already saturated industry, and if they chose one of these recipes they are always trapped to buying these products from you. Clever marketing. But in my opinion it is simply foolish and irresponsible to imply that you have done all the testing and makers not longer need to. Disastrous for the industry if people take that advice.
Hello again, Kieran, and thank you for the reply! We appreciate all feedback good, bad, concerned or delighted. We have spent 30,000 hours testing to allow our customers to save money, time on testing, and reduce waste. With our recipes our customers don’t have to start from scratch! This provides a fantastic starting off point for the makers! All our recipes have been fully tested for fire safety and soot behaviour. You can find out more about these tests on our website: candle-shack.co.uk/pages/tried-and-tested-recipes. Once again, thank you for reaching out and for your insightful comment. If you have any further questions, Kieran, our support and R&D teams will be happy to assist. Simply drop us an email us at support@candle-shack.co.uk Happy candle making, Kieran!
@@candleshackltd3476 yes I agree mostly, but you haven’t marketed it as a starting point. You’ve marketed it as a complete tried AND TESTED recipe. Implying people don’t need to test, and also trapping them into only using your products. Whilst it’s good for new makers to have a starting point, the idea that this was ‘the best thing to ever happen to the industry’ (your owners words) is frankly hilarious. Doesn’t matter how long you spend testing (and I don’t believe for a second it was 30,000 hours, but there’s no way of ever proving it), you know as well as I do as soon as someone makes the candle exactly to your recipe, it may not perform the same as yours did. I would have expected such an established company to make that clear and not lead people to believe it was that easy. Shame on you.
amazing idea great job as usual candle shack
