The Sunday Riley Saturn spot treatment is AMAZING for little breakouts here and there. Put it on at night after you wash your face and let it sit about half an hour, when you wake up in the morning that breakout is gone.
I’m in my reading era & have loved thrillers!! Watching your videos has given me so many good book recs! Can’t wait to watch this one & add all the books to my TBR 😋❤️
I recently bought a switch too & I'm obsessed with Cozy Grove! You're a spirit scout sent to a little haunted island to help the ghost bears that live there. The art style is so cute & the gameplay is relaxing. Also recommend Beacon Pines.
Just saying ….. Hailey, you are an amazing content creator… you have a true flair for pulling a viewer into your videos….. I look forward to watching and listening to all of your recommendations as well as the absolutely nots! Thank you for such descriptive content !!!!! Icy roads… that’s why I keep my hubby around ,too!!! Lol
What happened to The Writing Retreat? I hope you'll review that one soon --- I'm curious about it partly because it's gotten SO much hype before it got released!! Thanks Haley!
girl i feel your addiction to animal crossing > books I have been fighting with playing Disney Dreamlight Valley and xbox game called Lake (which i think is also on switch for both lol so you're welcome) like what do I want to do, read or play a cozy game? lol
I love that you’re getting into Animal Crossing! That game is amazing and so addictive! I have 250+ hours in that game 🫣 Some switch games I recommend are Stardew Valley, Disney Dreamlight, Ooblets, and Spiritfarer!💗✨
I love your vlogs and seeing your life too and, and appreciate you doing them to keep my updated as to what I should read next and whether they are flops or not!! 💖
Yes, I also rated 2/5 for All dangerous things. All the twist are so convenient and actually predictable, there is no suprise here and the past chapters are so redundant to me
Yess, a fellow switch+audiobook girly! Some cozy games I play while I listen are stardew valley, wylde flowers, and especially disney dreamlight valley!
The last invitation was so GOOD! I finished it in 24 hours. I can't believe its rated 3.48 on GR..... It doesn't deserve that!! Her next thriller sounds like it'll be so juicy
Another relaxing vlog with the Darby Kane thriller recommendation! I think I may have a Darby Kane on my shelves, but I’m definitely getting this one! Authors should seriously pay you guys for the books you sell!!! ❤❤❤
Ahhh! I was hoping The Drift may turn out better - I keep hoping for a CJ Tudor book I’ll enjoy 😂 PS I get awful hormonal acne on my chin/jawline area & retinol has been a game changer for me - specifically the Drunk Elephant Maretinol Oil! Pricey but it last awhile and gentle enough I use it every night. & I have pretty sensitive skin.
I've tried reading Pretty Little Wife by Darby Kane and I dnfed it last year but it could also be so because I wasn't enjoying reading at that point idk lol, maybe I'll pick it up again later this year. Also, Cameron is such a cutie and you guys make the cutest couple 🙌 Belated happy birthday to him ❤️
Bailey have you ever read anything by Frieda mcfadden? I’m seeing so much about her on booktok but girl I’m under your thumb and can’t read a single book if it hasn’t been recommended by you 💀- but I’ve never heard you talk about her??
I would still give The Burning Girls a try, it's the most character-driven of the CJ Tudor books I've read. I really liked the main character Jack and her daughter!
Hello I’ve been subscribed to your channel for a few months now! I’ve been shy to lol comment before now lol I would recommend playing the wild at heart and potion permit!
I wonder how you can multitasking between listening to audio book while playing game, that’s so amazing. I would have accomplished a number of things while finishing my read quicker at the same time If I have your ability 😂
I liked “All the dangerous things” only because of the last 1/3rd of the book. “The Drift” is my absolute favorite 🫶🏽 “Off the deep end” was an Ok Ok read for me. I was reading back to back new releases and really got fed up with disappointment after disappointment. Thus I switched to the saviors (Japanese thrillers😂🫶🏽)
Hi Hailey! If you loved The Last Invitation I think you would LOVE The Collective. A very similar premise following a woman who’s daughter was killed and finds a group of women on the dark web who “take care” of the men who have walked free from various crimes 😊
Welcome to the Animal Crossing club. I've been playing Animal Crossing games for 20 years! It is addictive for sure. Just wait until you play Pokemon! Even worse.
I have a rant review of The Drift that I posted on Goodreads and I would love some other opinions. Posted below: I struggled initially because there are 3 storylines with a minimum of 5 characters each. However, if you continue reading the cast of characters becomes well-defined and interesting. I would give this book a 4-star, however, I can not rate it because of something I have picked up on. This is my third book by CJ Tudor and I am not sure if I am going to pick any more up. I first read The Burning Girls and, like many people, took issue with the fact that the only black character in the book was a known child abuser. Tudor responded to this critique in a Q&A on Goodreads and her response did not sit well with me. But, I gave her the benefit of the doubt. At the end of 2022, I read A Sliver of Darkness. I noticed that the fat characters were used as a plot point very often, with other characters constantly commenting on their weight in a way that made me quite uncomfortable. I understand that an author may, in an attempt to make you dislike a character, have them be a bully and make fun of the weight of another character. But, the way it was worded and the prevalence of it was just off. It relied on a lot of tropes. I had pre-ordered The Drift and just finished it and again there were unnecessary comments on weight. At one point (pages 74-75 in my copy) there is a whole paragraph where Hannah says how much her mom hated fat people - and it lists a bunch of stereotypes: lazy, greedy, sit around all day stuffing their faces, no self-respect, etc., etc. This is not the only instance. There is no attempt by Tudor to uplift any of the fat characters - instead they are belittled and stereotyped. Even after she lists all those stereotypes, Tudor just goes on to say that when Hannah’s mother died, she went on to gorge herself with food - thus implying that weight is only linked with food and laziness - I am not sure? There was also a throwaway line in The Drift about a male character who was in jail having to "suck and fuck" to get what he needed in jail which I feel minimizes both the LGBTQ+ community and the conditions many inmates face in the prison system. Take what I say with a grain of salt. One of my best friends is a fat studies scholar and so perhaps I read into these issues more since we often have discussions about it. But, the issue I had in The Burning Girls with the way race was handled, plus the issues I have with the author's use of weight as a plot point, have solidified that CJ Tudor is just not the author for me.
// The Burning Girls SPOILERS// I mean she had someone fake their disability as a big twist in The Burning Girls. She also has a character doubt another character's asthma in The Drift.
This might be an unpopular opinion, but I’m definitely over podcast story lines in thrillers. I always find them boring and like they never move the plot along. I read All The Dangerous Things and What Lies In The Woods from BOTM back to back and didn’t like either one.
I was obsessed with Animal crossing for a long time until Disney Dreamlight valley early access came about! talk about OBSESSED!!!
The Sunday Riley Saturn spot treatment is AMAZING for little breakouts here and there. Put it on at night after you wash your face and let it sit about half an hour, when you wake up in the morning that breakout is gone.
Happy Birthday 🎂 Cameron!
Got my cup of coffee ready ☕❤️
yessss😍
I’m in my reading era & have loved thrillers!! Watching your videos has given me so many good book recs! Can’t wait to watch this one & add all the books to my TBR 😋❤️
Your nails are so cute 😍I loveeee them ❤. I added The Last Invitation to my tbr 😂
Love that colour of polish!
You got the confit de canard ! Great choice.
Love all your videos❤

You probably have kp. It nicked name strawberry skin. I use a body scrub with exfoliating acids to remove it. It’s very common.

Best thing: the nod of approval on the food!
Love the evening look, so pretty 😍

I just started reading audiobooks and it works so well with thrillers!!!
The color pop blushes are my fave! Also their cream highlight is great too
I love your vlogs and seeing your life too and, and appreciate you doing them to keep my updated as to what I should read next and whether they are flops or not!! 💖
I have PCOS too and I get those red bumps on my arms and have break outs a lot. I don’t have any advice 😂 but you aren’t alone sis.

The fact that you’re playing video games and reading at the same time makes me so happy! Highly recommend Stardew Valley
Oooo I’m need to get the last invitation asap
The last invitation was so GOOD! I finished it in 24 hours. I can't believe its rated 3.48 on GR..... It doesn't deserve that!! Her next thriller sounds like it'll be so juicy
I really think GR rating is just 🗑️!!!
@@Zhyaksg I always ignore it because i have loved so many books with "low" ratings!
I was so excited for The Drift. I’ll probably still read I tend to give CJ’s books 4 & 5 stars
You are the first good review I have seen for The Last Invitation. Too bad the other two weren't very good ☹️
Another relaxing vlog with the Darby Kane thriller recommendation! I think I may have a Darby Kane on my shelves, but I’m definitely getting this one! Authors should seriously pay you guys for the books you sell!!! ❤❤❤

Stardew Valley is just the best cozy game!! I love it ❤
Omg I am addicted to ACNH too!! lolol
I would still give The Burning Girls a try, it's the most character-driven of the CJ Tudor books I've read. I really liked the main character Jack and her daughter!
Zelda: Breath of the Wild for the switch!!! I also was obsessed with animal crossing 😂
Hi Hailey love your videos.... I wanted to give you a switch game suggestion look into game called Unpacking it is such a relaxing sweet story...

It’s never too late for Animal Crossing!!
How do you listen to audiobooks at such a fast speed? I can only listen to it on maximum 1.25x speed so it takes me ages to finish one book 😭😭
The Burning Girls is the best C.j Tudor. You should give her another chance! I love her writing style.
Hi Hailey! If you loved The Last Invitation I think you would LOVE The Collective. A very similar premise following a woman who’s daughter was killed and finds a group of women on the dark web who “take care” of the men who have walked free from various crimes 😊
Switch Game recs:

I really need a Vlog where Hailey is reading Japanese thriller/Horror🫣
