  • COMPLIANT MECHANISM COMPILATION 2
In mechanical engineering, a compliant mechanism is a flexible mechanism that achieves force and motion transmission through elastic body deformation.
    Advantages:
    Low cost production
    No backlash
    No surface wear
    can easily store energy
    simplification / fewer parts

Truly one of the best emerging technique nowadays

It’s actually a really old one beginning with bow and arrow and some compliant catapults in acient time and we use some in our daily life without noticing! but nowadays people are beginning to understand its potential and the new studies and technique are very interesting

Greetings, have you ever designed 3d gripper, I would like to know how it looks and how the mechanical model behave on 3D grasping object

È un concetto molto interessante se penso poi che si basa su leve e materiali idonei..... potrebbe avere sviluppo pazzeschi

Grande Simo si anche secondo me è una tecnologia che applicata ai materiali moderni può solo migliorare

Greet job but can i know the trade name of the material of the plastic

This is a normal 3D print Pla but it is absolutely not the best plastic for this use. probably it is better to print with more durable plastics or better still to rough them in one piece like industry make

What filament do you recommend for long lasting compliant mechanism ?
I tried petg but after some cycles of use it lost all it's stiffness and now it's super wobbly at the joints.
Maybe Nylon would be better suited? since it has naturally higher flexibility and should therefore have a larger range of motion without permanent deformation ? What's your thoughts on this?
