One EKG later I was in the ER where I got a quick fix (defibrillated while under brief sedation.) I was like, WTF just happened? (Because I instantly felt better after the treatment.) Yeah...worth the extra pennies. And yeah, I still run. Oh...and VERY easy to read in bright sunlight.
There are two versions as I’m writing this but there will be a new release any second....I have the “GPS” version. The other, you can get Internet connection after you’ve set it up through your provider. That one you don’t need your phone nearby. The GPS version is mostly dependent upon your iPhone being in your pocket or purse. But, there are gps functions that don’t rely on having the phone with you. For example, I do use mine to track my running (and listen to music while running) without carting along the iPhone. Apple is supposedly releasing a new Watch sometime September 2019...

Nah. Saw it in person and the aluminium looks fantastic. Espcially the space gray. Making something shiny doesn't make it appear more expensive to anybody, espically something as common as stainless steel.

Why does the display on the new one look spotty/pixely in your video? at 5:15 the series 3 looks sharp and clear and the 4 looks like an older PC monitor...is it your camera doing this?
it was not approved by the FDA it was just cleared. Products that pass this clearance process may be referred to as "FDA cleared" or "FDA listed," but this is not the same as "FDA approved," which only relates to the Class 3 devices that have passed PMA. if you watch the keynote you will see that they said cleared not approved.
They only just got FDA cleared a day before the reveal and now they need to try and get the watch cleared for international use. As such, the technology at least for now will only be available in the states.
Yeah...FDA Approved are for products that are inside your body. They have stricter testing. So unless you where your watch in a really weird way... the FDA Cleared is appropriate for the watch.

I have the Apple Watch Series 4 (44mm) and the gold iPhone XS Max (256 gb), but i really do feel as though we are still behind when it comes to what Samsung has to offer with their products.. Don’t get me wrong, my watch and phone looks amazing! I love the compliments i get and it’s a great conversation starter amongst other Apple users, but i can do so much more with android and their smart watch devices.. Apple doesn’t even allow social media apps on their smart watch anymore. Even the internet access is bogus.. it only allows you to go to a website if you were sent a link and it loads as if we are back to using AOL 2.0...

Not much of a difference other than the ECG app. I’ve been seeing the possible specs for the upcoming Galaxy S10 and I’m really debating on going back to Android. They have so much more to offer. I’ve been dealing with Apple since the iPhone 3G.. and they haven’t done much to amaze me since the iPhone 4S. The camera quality, FaceTime, and iMessage kept me coming back, but that’s really all they have to offer. It’s great for bragging rights, but if you need more from a phone and smart watch, “this ain’t it chief”

I’ve been using a series 0 since it was the only one on the market. Just ordered a silver aluminum model. The stainless steel is nice, but I don’t like how it weathers over time (and let’s be honest, I don’t have the cash for it either! This one is already a stretch). GPS only as well, my phone is basically always with me so I don’t see much of a point to LTE support.
The gps only one uses bluetooth to connect to hour phone... the more expensive lte one has its own service which is usually $10/mo add on to your cell service but you dont need to have your phone nearby
FYI - About Fall Detection. It is not automatically on unless you are 65 and over. You have to manually turn it on. Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, then tap the My Watch tab. Tap Emergency SOS. Turn Fall Detection on or off.
I just ordered one ( I have T-Mobile ) you don’t have to pay upfront for the watch, I did it in installments with my phone bill so I don’t have to flush the money at ones, I can’t wait to get it.

I know this is old but I'll tell you anyway. An ECG(Or EKG, both are the same) is a way of checking your heart for abnormalities by measuring it's electrical activity over a period of time. Normally you'd have to go a doctor or buy a special device to take this test, but the Apple Watch the sensors for it built in and it's endorsed by the FDA, there's also a few stories of it saving someone's life because it can detect afib.
My series 3 Apple Watch broke ( don’t ask how 😂 ) and apple said that i can pay 1K AED and get a new ( the same model ) watch. Is it worth it ? Or I just pitch in another 600 AED and buy the new one ?
lol no you can't. Apple doesn't let any third party faces into their watches. Samsung is the only one that lets you do it at the moment which sucks because it looks cool!

Cam Cam what’s inside proved that it doesn’t trigger when falling on trampolines or foam pits, but it does if you actually fall
It automatically turns on if you are 65 and older.
Fall detection turns on automatically if you are over 65 years old (assuming you have your birthdate/stats up to date)
