Got one. Because the other fitness watches I’ve had were difficult to see when I’m out running in bright sunlight.
One week later, it detected atrial fibrillation. (I’d had it once before and thought I was just down with the flu...) I was feeling like shit and so I called my doc and a said, “So...I got this new Apple Watch and it told that I have had an....” They said get in here!
One EKG later I was in the ER where I got a quick fix (defibrillated while under brief sedation.)
I was like, WTF just happened? (Because I instantly felt better after the treatment.)
Yeah...worth the extra pennies. And yeah, I still run.
Oh...and VERY easy to read in bright sunlight.

Angel Aguilera No, you can’t take or do FaceTime, but you can still call.
There are two versions as I’m writing this but there will be a new release any second....I have the “GPS” version. The other, you can get Internet connection after you’ve set it up through your provider. That one you don’t need your phone nearby. The GPS version is mostly dependent upon your iPhone being in your pocket or purse. But, there are gps functions that don’t rely on having the phone with you. For example, I do use mine to track my running (and listen to music while running) without carting along the iPhone.
Apple is supposedly releasing a new Watch sometime September 2019...

I picked up one yesterday, it replaced a Huawei Watch 2 Classic and I'm loving it so far, had a S0 Apple Watch before the Android one and this is light years ahead of both in terms of the display and performance.

Why does the display on the new one look spotty/pixely in your video? at 5:15 the series 3 looks sharp and clear and the 4 looks like an older PC monitor...is it your camera doing this?

I’ve been using a series 0 since it was the only one on the market. Just ordered a silver aluminum model. The stainless steel is nice, but I don’t like how it weathers over time (and let’s be honest, I don’t have the cash for it either! This one is already a stretch). GPS only as well, my phone is basically always with me so I don’t see much of a point to LTE support.
I am upgrading. Can really benefit from their new updates on the watch.

Just got my series 4 yesterday and I can tell you, its f ing great!
Only problem with the cool infographic faces is Apple left out the message icon to be used as a complication on the face!

The stainless steel model looks miles better than the aluminium sport but they cost more than the iPhone XR.
Jonathan Li well worth having a scratch-proof screen though. You likely wouldn’t need an upgrade for 3-4 years.

Nah. Saw it in person and the aluminium looks fantastic. Espcially the space gray. Making something shiny doesn't make it appear more expensive to anybody, espically something as common as stainless steel.
thats ur opinion. The space gray matches my iPhone and MacBook Pro. The space gray looks amazing. Also the still shines too much on light and its really annoying to me. Kid

Just picked up the 44mm at Best Buy for $300. Traded in my series 1
I just ordered one ( I have T-Mobile ) you don’t have to pay upfront for the watch, I did it in installments with my phone bill so I don’t have to flush the money at ones, I can’t wait to get it.
Finally went out on a limb and picked up a 44mm!
Question: can this series 4 transmit my heart information via internet to another user. IAM a elderly man living alone and would like to connect with my daughters watch or iPhone if my heart were to stop.

to test the fall detection, you have to switch on the fall detection in settings
suat yurdakul you also have to take an actual fall. So many reviewers are claiming it “doesn’t work,” but they’re falling in foam pits and on trampolines. The watch is obviously not counting such a soft impact as a real fall.

Cam Cam what’s inside proved that it doesn’t trigger when falling on trampolines or foam pits, but it does if you actually fall
It automatically turns on if you are 65 and older.
Fall detection turns on automatically if you are over 65 years old (assuming you have your birthdate/stats up to date)

May someone kindly explain to me how the ECG works and what does it do on the Apple Watch Series 4?
I know this is old but I'll tell you anyway. An ECG(Or EKG, both are the same) is a way of checking your heart for abnormalities by measuring it's electrical activity over a period of time.
Normally you'd have to go a doctor or buy a special device to take this test, but the Apple Watch the sensors for it built in and it's endorsed by the FDA, there's also a few stories of it saving someone's life because it can detect afib.

The gps only one uses bluetooth to connect to hour phone... the more expensive lte one has its own service which is usually $10/mo add on to your cell service but you dont need to have your phone nearby
