I found the perfect match for my 84 yrs old mom this summer in a nearby shelter. Due to her age, physical strength and mobility a small, senior dog sounded ideal. She had lost her beloved dog to cancer last year and was longing for some canine company again. Her face lit up when she was introduced to a 14 yrs old Chihuahua who was dumped by his former owners due to his age and his rather poor health. It was a no-brainer! He underwent surgery and we took him home the next day. This little dog made a full recovery and is the most loving and loyal companion to my mom. I bought a dog scooter and these two are just the cutest on their walks and strolls together. Senior dogs deserve a special place in our hearts 💕.
Yes. That dog was shot in. The head! Who could do that to a friendly dog, at close range? It’s a miracle he survived. This Trust is an amazing group of people, people who truly love animals. Thank you for all the dogs you save and find wonderful homes for them ❤

I'm a foster mom of dogs and seniors really are the best fur babys
Yeah, my senior is a demanding bastard (affectionate). He loves calm walkies, playing, and being the center of attention
