Kathy Tennyson, can the foot pedal be removed for assistance in walking or gait training?

I'm currently working fulltime as a PA for my mom during the pandemic as she is super high-risk and we don't want anyone else coming into the home, but I recently injured my shoulder and am not sure if it's going to be permanent (have other chronic pain). Her condition is similar to ALS (sporadic inclusion body myositis) and she's in the advanced stages.
Could I use to help her transfer this without aggravating my shoulder?

The traditional sling would not work since the user must have some strength to hold themselves back in the unit. A sit-to-sit sling would need to be used that would lift the user in a seated motion allowing for safe and easy transfers.
