Oh friend, I’m crying so hard. Tears of sadness and of joy. I’m so proud of you for coming back to the light after such tragedy. I discovered the pregnancy prior to my son’s was gone 3 days before my daughter had open heart surgery. It was at our first ultrasound, on our anniversary, and there was no heartbeat. I was devastated; how was I going to be present for my 2-1/2 year old through surgery with this looming? I opted for a D&C the next day to speed up the process and so I wouldn’t be miscarrying during our stay at Children’s. On the one hand, I was able to focus on my little girl and getting her home and healed. But truthfully, I never had time to really grieve the loss. Thank you for sharing your journey and most importantly, for sharing your joy. That girl’s retreat looked amazing!!! I wish nothing but the best for you and will be rooting for your rainbow baby if that’s in the cards for you. Xoxo
Oh my goodness, Sarah, I cannot imagine what that must have been like...just knowing how tough it was to have to go through everyday life while in the middle of it, but to have to deal with your sweet little girl's surgery on top of it. You are a strong woman and you did what felt right for you in the moment and I'm so glad you have your beautiful little rainbow boy. And Thank you for watching, this has been one of the most life-changing periods of my life and creating this video was a special type of healing all on its own and I just needed to share it ❤
