    In this video essay, we'll be exploring the exciting and hopeful genre of Solarpunk. Solarpunk is a vision of a future that is sustainable, equitable, and optimistic, where humanity has learned to live in harmony with the natural world and technology is used to improve the lives of all beings.
    One of the key aspects of Solarpunk is decentralization and a focus on community ownership. Solarpunk technologies are often designed to be owned and operated by local communities, allowing people to have more control over their own lives and shape their own future. Solarpunk economics also emphasizes the importance of a circular economy, in which resources are used, recycled, and reused, rather than being discarded and wasted.
    Solarpunk also incorporates sustainable development and permaculture techniques into its design, in fields such as architecture, urban planning, and green technology. Solarpunk aesthetics often incorporate elements of nature, such as plants and natural materials, into futuristic its designs.
    Solarpunk offers a hopeful alternative to the bleak and dystopian visions of the future often depicted in science fiction and popular culture. It presents a positive and inclusive vision for the future, one that values social justice and diversity. Solarpunk art, literature, music, and fashion all contribute to this vision and provide a glimpse into what a Solarpunk society might look like.
    In this video, we'll be exploring the various ways in which Solarpunk solutions can be applied to address issues to create hope for the future in areas such as climate change and environmental degradation. We'll also be examining the philosophy behind Solarpunk and how it incorporates elements of science, technology, and ecology.
    So join us as we delve into the world of Solarpunk and discover the possibilities for a brighter, more sustainable future. This video essay is brought to you by the Symbiosis channel, where we present real-life stories and steps for achieving harmony between humans, nature, and technology =)

      A fascinating concept that is very "Solarpunk" is Food Forests, something anyone can setup in their own backyard with just a bit if research and planning.
      Forests are highly stable ecosystems that are self-sustaining. By mimicking them in how we plant food crops, we can get high yields while actively *improving* our soil and air quality; rather than diminishing it.

      @@naturio-tv Thank you for your reply! But unfortunately I can't see anything in the top right corner, even with the annotations on :(
      I separate our trash (paper, plastic, cans, glass, etc), use reusable tubs & bottles for bringing lunch/water, use as little (warm) water as possible, try to get "responsible" brands for soaps and such, keep the heating relatively low (I love wrapping myself in blankets anyway, so this one isn't so hard😉), I don't buy fast fashion anymore & preferably get my clothes second hand - even then I try to get natural fiber products, and whatever's made from synthetics I wash in one of those filter bags to avoid micro plastics in the water. LED lights are already customary. I'm sure there's more, but this is what I could think of.. oh! and I follow an almost vegetarian/vegan diet, try to do this more and more 😊

    Solarpunk world is hard work and dedication to make it work, of course good technologies like automation and solar-wind-nuclear-hydrogen power should be a thing.
    Once the adoption is implemented then things might getting easier, then we can solve other problems as efficient as we have solve the problem with the current system we have right now.
    I dont think a subsection of people are ready for this sort of transition, so it should be happening on a smaller scale and grow from there.
    Don´t be naive people, a SolarPunk world is something you have to earn before you get the benefits.
    But a Solarpunk world is definitely possible.

    It's not just that "humanity" needs to learn to coexist with our own home planet. Some of us are specifically incentivized to damage ecosystems. How do the rest of us abolish those rewards for plunder? Simply boycotting wasteful products until the wealthy independently become eco-socialists can't be the end of the conversation.

    Hai what do you mean by symbiosis

    • @naturio-tv
      @naturio-tv  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello! That's a GREAT question. Our definition of Symbiosis is when humans, nature, and technology are able to live in harmony. For example, technology can be used to develop and implement sustainable practices that preserve and protect the natural environment, such as permacultute, biomimicry, renewable energy sources and conservation efforts. This can help to reduce the negative impacts of human activities on the environment, and ensure that future generations of humans and animals are able to enjoy the benefits of nature. At the same time, nature provides resources that are essential for human survival and well-being, such as clean air, water, and food. By living in Symbiosis with nature, humans can continue to access these resources in a sustainable way, while also preserving the natural world for future generations. Finally, when humans and nature are able to work together in Symbiosis, it can lead to a sense of connection and appreciation for the natural world, which can have many benefits for mental and physical health.
      Thank you for the question 🙏

    solar punk is low tech because most tech is unsustainable, it needs rare earth minerals which are ecologically destructive to extract

    The key thing about solarpunk is that it is anti-capitalist at its core…

  • @Baraborn
    @Baraborn ปีที่แล้ว +3

    So... a lot of these suggestions are climate activism and being socialist. those are fine ideas but it ain't Solarpunk. Solarpunk is JUST an art form. Its not a hoop to jump through. I know it's attractive to try and gateway people into "being the change", but it's as strange as saying people that like Cyberpunk are ready to chop off their arm and become a cyborg. Great topic, don't have an AI write it for you next time.
