This was the best hotel review for such a new hotel. Thank you for taking the time to show all the details. I wish everyone did review videos like this one.

The JW Marriott was one of my favorite non-Disney hotels that we've stayed at. It's so nice I look forward to going back and trying the restaurants too. Thanks for the comment!

You take the remote out. That way they know it was used and needs to be sanitized. If it is left in the bag they don’t know.

Was there a shuttle to the park ?

Hi Esteban: I do not believe they have a shuttle. However, there is a nearby bus stop for the ART bus, which is the Anaheim Resort Transportation that goes all over Anaheim. JW Marriot is about a mile from the front gates, so you can also walk -- but that would never be my first choice! Thanks so much!

Actually, we have stayed there recently and I just have to do the video! So, it's on the way in the next couple of months. Thanks for the suggestion. I have to get that editing done!

Hi There! I cannot for the life of me decide on a resort this December. For 5 nights would you go with the Disneyland Hotel ($329 pre-tax $1929 total), the Westin ($190 pre-tax $1188 total), or JW Marriott ($162, $988 total)? Appreciate any insight!

Hi Erica: These are all really good prices for each of these hotels. If money is no object, then staying on site at the Disneyland Hotel is always my preference, here's why: (1) You can return to the hotel during the day to take a break and rest; (2) it will save you time walking, driving or taking transportation; (3) the pool is really nice, as are the grounds; (4) access to all the restaurants and shopping at Downtown Disney; (5) the light-up headboards are really special. However, I really enjoyed staying at the JW Marriott. The rooms are very nice and it was great walking out the back of the hotel to Garden Walk with their restaurants and shopping. However, the pool there is nothing special and the hotel does cater more toward business/conventions. The Westin (if it is the one at 1030 W. Katella) is brand new -- I haven't had the chance to stay there yet but it looks amazing. The Westin and the JW Marriott are a bit too far -- for me -- to walk to the parks from. But I have back and feet issues, so that's just me. :) However, it is do-able. But you can take a lot of Ubers with that $1000 you would save staying at the other hotels.... You can always do a split-stay. Two days at the Westin and three days at Disneyland Hotel. Did this help? Clear as mud? LOL. Let me know if you have any more questions. Best wishes, Ked

@@TheMouseScout Hi Ked, thanks so much for the thoughtful response!
Sorry to hear about your back and feet problems, I’m sure it’s no fun but at least you’re still out there being active! We frequent WDW once a year and stay at Shades of Green and would always walk to the Polynesian or Grand Floridian to take Disney transportation so we don’t mind the walk back and forth. Though there is something to be said about staying in the bubble.
Yeah I agree I like the walk from the JW Marriott with all of the eating options and cutting through the outdoor mall and garden walk but don’t care for the hotel grounds or pool being on the shady side of the hotel. I like the grounds of the Westin and I heard the walk isn’t too bad. Plus I like the price is rock bottom for the JW and the Westin. I feel like in the future it will go up whereas Disney should still have the military discount on the rooms.
I would love to split the stay up but my husband is not a fan of that idea, would prefer to pay a rack rate at one haha.
Right now we are booked at the Disneyland Hotel and are leaning on keeping that but I’m so intrigued by the nice off-site hotels!

@@Erica-qz9jz Hi Erica: Yes, those are really good rates for the hotels and whichever you end up staying at will be really nice! If you do switch to the new Westin, be sure to let me know what you thought of it, I'm curious.
Hope you have a wonderful trip!
      Thanks, Ked
