And has been then most popular Fuji musician since around 1995 after he released Orobokibo? Can I tell you why Pasuma is successful: 1) Versatility: Pasuma is most versatile musician in Nigeria; he's been able successfully play all genre of music in Nigera. 2) Relevance:Like a good brand manager does, he's kept the Pasuma brand relevant in the music industry by setting the trends and cleverly understanding them too. No Fuji musician in Nigeria today can get to an apala, afrobeat, hip hop, juju , etc stage and still confidently feel at home. He's saw the trend before anyone. Original: Pasuma understands music, he set the trend , he has been able to come up with different style of music and lyrics- "keep on rocking" "emi emi" etc. These are lyrics easy to understand and remember. Can be used for adverts, used in other genre etc It's okay to be among the few people who say they don't like his music or style of music but to then say Pasuma, who has been the MOST consistent and popular in his main genre of music (how many fuji musicians have played with the likes of Davido, Wizkid, etc before they become popular & after?) and other genre of music "can't sing" is plain stupidity!
