  • Muslimstudio714 this time will discuss the founding of the Abbasid Daulah or known as the Bani Abbasiah, which was an important dynasty in the history of Islamic civilization that ruled for more than 5 centuries. The founder of the Abbasid dynasty was Abu Abbas As-Saffah, with the full name Abdullah As-Saffah bin Ali bin Abdullah bin al Abbas. This dynasty was founded after the collapse of the Umayyad Dynasty and replaced it as the third caliphate of Islam. This dynasty was called Abbasid because its founders were descendants of Abbas bin Abdul-Muththalib, uncle of Rasulullah SAW. This dynasty was based in Baghdad, Iraq. During the reign of the Abbasid dynasty, Islamic power expanded. During this period, the caliphs supported the development of science, by translating many foreign language books into Arabic. The power of the Abbasid dynasty was divided into several periods, namely the second period of Persian influence, the second period of Turkish influence, and the caliphate period free from the influence of other dynasties. The rule of the Abbasid dynasty was ended by the invasion of the Mongols.
