I am having one issue that I can't seem to find any help for though and I was curious if you had come across it. When I have more than one instance of analog lab (or any synth from V collection), my keylab triggers all of the instruments unless I mute them in the mixer. So that means I can't have a pattern playing one instrument and then use the keyboard to play another, because the keyboard triggers all the instruments at once. It's a long shot, but do you have any idea how to fix that? edit: never mind, I was digging through these comments and saw someone else had the same issue and you answered how to fix it. :)

I've been using my keylab with Ableton 11. It works great. It came with analog lab 4 but I went ahead and bought V pro since it was half price for black friday.
The only problem with "hard setting" the midi channel is that if you want to use the midi controller for other plugins as well in FL Studio it will keep playing the Analog Lab synth at the same time. So how do you set it it that it can control multiple synths at the same time?
You'll have to use a midi script. There is already a video of someone doing this, but their explanation was missing a step that made it a little confusing (if I remember correctly). But you can try searching for that video if this is something you're needing or wanting to do.
I like setting up analog labs the way you show. But for individual instruments from the v collection, like the Mini V I map them to different channels and custom map the midi. You can then lock the instruments to a specific midi channel. Now you have different instruments on different user maps already ready to play and mess with
How do you lock the plugin to specific midi channels? Or are you saying you just set them? Which is fine too. That’s what I’ve been suggesting in the comments for people using multiple instruments. Since analog lab is set to all on default you have to change it to anything else so it doesn’t trigger when you play other channels
@@Inflightmuzik hey so right click on the plugin on the channel rack. Select "recieve notes from" then the controller and specific midi channel. Now this plugin will only receive notes from a specific channel. Now just change channels and you change plugin focus. But I have my controller user maps set to change the faders and knobs to different channels as well, so when I change instruments I also change those controls too. It's super helpful!

im looking at one of these controllers to purchase rn. One thing i like is that it comes with sounds, but do you need the "v collection" or any paid service in order to use the stock presets that come with controller in fL like you did at the end of video?

At 1:40 when I do this then the Analog lab plays and the pitchbend works . But when I select another vst, its also playing at the same time. If I leave the input blank then the keys work but not the pitchbend but it works correctly as far as selecting another vst and they not both play at the same time

Hi.. great tutorial, but i got an issue (maybe easy to fix..) .. everything works fine, but when i have multiple Analog lab plugins open (with different instruments) and play the piano, all instruments play at onces and not the selected one. How is it possible to only hear the selected without the others playing in the background. Hopefully u understand my problem :D Thanks!
So how do I get the MIDIN2 to show up in MIDI options? I'm using the cable that came with the MK2 mini and it doesn't show up. So far I put the Arturia Keylab essential to Port 0 as well as my plugins but I'm not getting any sound/input..
I'm, thinking the mkii mini has a different setup to get it to work. It's unfortunate these controllers aren't officially supported, which is why I made these videos in the first place. If you did what I showed in the video, it means that controller has different firmware or hardware that keeps it from connecting properly.

Yes, save the setting in your template. So many don't even have a template, but this is a must in FL Studio for me. I'm in the process of releasing my new template for free here soon. Don't forget to save your work!
Hey, thanks so much for this video - I've somewhat got it working but was wondering if there is any way to isolate the control surfaces to the active channel? If I have multiple Analog Lab instruments in the channel rack, when I use a slider or knob for one instrument it is applying it to all of the Analog Lab instruments in the rack :( It makes it close to impossible to construct loops with Analog Lab.
You'll have to turn off the port in the instruments you're not using. It's not perfect. However, FL Studio has new midi scripts that could help this, but I haven't looked deep into that yet!

My template has multiple instances of A L open and if I set all of them to the same midi input they all play whenever any note on my keyboard is pressed, even when every channel rack and/or mixer channel is muted.. Also none of the parameter faders or knobs work, only the pitch and mod wheels. Am I really going to have to manually turn on the midi input every time i want to use them?
@@benlm_7979 Easy, in your template just change the midi channel of each AL 1-16 so each are on on different channels. You change the midi at the bottom of AL. On the keyboard you change which midi channel you're on by holding the midi ch button and pressing the note with 1-16 above it on the keylab. And also save your midi input port with your template too. Like I said i have mine set to 0. So whenever I load my template up, it's already mapped and ready to go.
@@Inflightmuzik yeah so I just tried that, didn't work.. For some reason all the parameters are mapped correctly and working this time round, but I still have to manually select my input on the plugin unfortunately. Better than before tho so thanks mate!

I can not get this to work. In the beginning when you go to “Options” the screen looks different than mine. Neither in AL or in the MIDI control app do I have this list in the upper left of the screen. Please can someone help?

Getyourknowledge45 go into the midi settings direct in analog lab and switch it from all to any of the other 16 midi channels you’re not using or won’t be using later
InflightMuzik you have a faster response time than arturia support 😂 first off thank you, but whenever I alter the analog midi settings to anything above 1 it no longer plays sound when I’m in arturia 😭. Maybe it’s because I’m using a different model than yours? (Mk2 keylab). Idk, it sucks cuz it’s a beautiful keyboard but it’s day one and this is just killing the workflow that I was hoping would improve. I can’t even dial through sounds, it dials but it doesn’t give me a preview on the keyboard it just says “analog lab” 😒.
Getyourknowledge45 when you want to use analog lab switch it back to the midi channel you want to use it with. That’s why I said when you are done using analog lab then switch it to a different channel. So do that after, not before you’re done using it
I have Arturia 4 but the demo version.. I don't understand because I purchased a midi keyboard. I tried to login en register my product but I still have the demo version of Arturia 4. Can you see what I need to do? I already texted Arturia.

hey i have a big issue, when i switch from a sound on analog labs 4 or 5 it continues to play the sound. even if i mute it on the channel rack, the only way i stopped it was by manually turning the volume down in analog labs. say i used a sequencer of some sort in analog labs 4 then wanted to go to analog labs 5 or even use the basic drum kit thats automatically on the channel rack, ill still hear the sequencer from analog 4 in as well as whatever new sound im trying to play. Do you know how i could fix this?

You already have dedicated preset buttons to switch presets. Perhaps you want to use the pads because they are bigger? Makes sense. Might not be an option though.
Thanks for the video. I have a slight problem though, any changes that I do with the faders and knobs aren't registered at all when I'm recording. What am I missing?
Awesome video! Only thing I’m still stuck on is, the search knob, I pressed map select and the Analog Lab and then preset - it just keeps saying Analog Lab.
I don't have MIDIIN2 under input. How do I add it? I've always just had the KeyLab49 input, never a secondary one. And yes, I'm plugged in using the USB cable.

nah, you can do it without it. There have been a lot of updates on both arturia and fl studio's side, but in general, what I showed here still works. Not sure why your options aren't showing up. Maybe reinstall the midi control center.

Make sure only the instrument you want to use has the port set to whatever number you set it in the midi settings. Otherwise it will play every instrument that has that same port number
What version of FL are you using? You should see this if you're using FL12 or after. If you're using something before that, I don't remember what that looks like in terms of how to access these menus. If you're using any of the later versions and still don't see these options, you'll have to contact imageline to see what's up. Never ran into that problem before. Sounds like a random bug. They are quick getting back to you, usually same day. Hope that helps!

somehippie you’ll need to run the plugin manager and scan where ever you have your plugins folder located and/or where you installed your analog lab plugin. Check the manual if you need more details
Hey, brother! Thank you for the video. I am having some trouble with setting up. I am at the 1:53 mark in the video. I am using a dell computer for set up. There appears to be no cog icon when I open analog. Do you know what the problem might be?
Maybe a little more context. I have downloaded both Analog Lab 4 and Fruity Loops 20. I was able to get the steps done on FL. I clicked on the midi settings and was able to set up the settings on that software. Then once I got to analog lab, the cog says Audio MIDI settings. When I click on that, I get two columns. Left it says Audio settings: which I have set for my computer. The right says MIDI settings. I selected both devices. On FL it shows activity but there is no sound. I do not have an audio interface yet, but I have ordered one. Simply put I cannot get any sound out.
@@cjsmith8319 Actually I need a little more context from you. I told you exactly what you were looking at 1:53. Now it sounds like your looking at something completely different because no where should you be seeing anything that says audio on the left and midi on the right. That screen doesn't exist in FL studio or Analog lab. So I need you to send me a screen shot of whatever you're looking at that's confusing you and myself with what you said. feel free to email me inflightmuzik@gmail.com Outside of that, I can't help you in the comments because I have no idea what you're referring to anymore when it comes to the 1:53 mark you pointed out about the cog icon. Also, go to options at the top menu and audio settings and tell me what device you've selected under input/output. It should be set to either ASIO or FL Studio ASIO if you want to hear sound. If that's properly setup then you have a hardware issue that I won't be able to help you with...not a software issue.

I can’t even dial through sounds, it dials but it doesn’t give me a preview on the keyboard it just says “analog lab” 😒.
Getyourknowledge45 when you want to use analog lab switch it back to the midi channel you want to use it with. That’s why I said when you are done using analog lab then switch it to a different channel. So do that after, not before you’re done using it

For some reason when im in analog lab 4 the cog with the plug doesn’t show, did i do something wrong?
I have Arturia 4 but the demo version.. I don't understand because I purchased a midi keyboard. I tried to login en register my product but I still have the demo version of Arturia 4. Can you see what I need to do? I already texted Arturia.

Why is it that the inputs aren’t showing even if the midi usb (the one that comes with the package) is connected to my computer?
hey i have a big issue, when i switch from a sound on analog labs 4 or 5 it continues to play the sound. even if i mute it on the channel rack, the only way i stopped it was by manually turning the volume down in analog labs. say i used a sequencer of some sort in analog labs 4 then wanted to go to analog labs 5 or even use the basic drum kit thats automatically on the channel rack, ill still hear the sequencer from analog 4 in as well as whatever new sound im trying to play. Do you know how i could fix this?
the only way i could fix this is when i turn off the input port, and put it to none
I have the 49 mk3, and some of the things you told worked for me, but I don't see mackie.. option in my FL studio, would really appreciate if you could help

You already have dedicated preset buttons to switch presets. Perhaps you want to use the pads because they are bigger? Makes sense. Might not be an option though.
Thanks for the video. I have a slight problem though, any changes that I do with the faders and knobs aren't registered at all when I'm recording. What am I missing?
Right click the record button in fl and select record automation

Awesome video! Only thing I’m still stuck on is, the search knob, I pressed map select and the Analog Lab and then preset - it just keeps saying Analog Lab.

I don't have MIDIIN2 under input. How do I add it? I've always just had the KeyLab49 input, never a secondary one. And yes, I'm plugged in using the USB cable.
I would contact Arturia if that's the case. I haven't run into that issue before.
@@Inflightmuzik After following all your instructions, I was able to get my Keylab linked so the pots and sliders works, even without the MIDIIN2. So, thank you!

is mackie control needed for this auto mapping to work, the midiin 2 doesn’t even show up for me with my usb plugged in
nah, you can do it without it. There have been a lot of updates on both arturia and fl studio's side, but in general, what I showed here still works. Not sure why your options aren't showing up. Maybe reinstall the midi control center.
Thank you so much dude it finally works! But how come when i play notes it plays not only the selected sound in analog lab, but some extra sound underneath it??
Make sure only the instrument you want to use has the port set to whatever number you set it in the midi settings. Otherwise it will play every instrument that has that same port number

any idea why I don't have the cog icon at 1:50 or any of the menus after that? do you know any other way to get to those settings? :(
What version of FL are you using? You should see this if you're using FL12 or after. If you're using something before that, I don't remember what that looks like in terms of how to access these menus. If you're using any of the later versions and still don't see these options, you'll have to contact imageline to see what's up. Never ran into that problem before. Sounds like a random bug. They are quick getting back to you, usually same day. Hope that helps!

somehippie you’ll need to run the plugin manager and scan where ever you have your plugins folder located and/or where you installed your analog lab plugin. Check the manual if you need more details

Hey, brother! Thank you for the video. I am having some trouble with setting up. I am at the 1:53 mark in the video. I am using a dell computer for set up. There appears to be no cog icon when I open analog. Do you know what the problem might be?
At the top left is a drop down menu on the plugin wrapper window. Next to that is the cog icon. Click that to reveal the other cog icon I’m using
Maybe a little more context. I have downloaded both Analog Lab 4 and Fruity Loops 20. I was able to get the steps done on FL. I clicked on the midi settings and was able to set up the settings on that software. Then once I got to analog lab, the cog says Audio MIDI settings. When I click on that, I get two columns. Left it says Audio settings: which I have set for my computer. The right says MIDI settings. I selected both devices. On FL it shows activity but there is no sound. I do not have an audio interface yet, but I have ordered one. Simply put I cannot get any sound out.
@@cjsmith8319 Actually I need a little more context from you. I told you exactly what you were looking at 1:53. Now it sounds like your looking at something completely different because no where should you be seeing anything that says audio on the left and midi on the right. That screen doesn't exist in FL studio or Analog lab. So I need you to send me a screen shot of whatever you're looking at that's confusing you and myself with what you said. feel free to email me inflightmuzik@gmail.com Outside of that, I can't help you in the comments because I have no idea what you're referring to anymore when it comes to the 1:53 mark you pointed out about the cog icon. Also, go to options at the top menu and audio settings and tell me what device you've selected under input/output. It should be set to either ASIO or FL Studio ASIO if you want to hear sound. If that's properly setup then you have a hardware issue that I won't be able to help you with...not a software issue.
