    Great to have this on TH-cam now! I watched it in TV last week and intended to record it from the TV screen. This showed more problematic as thought because of the dark studio. My camera was unable to cover with such a dark picture. You could hardly see any facial features. Thanks for your good work.

    I think he knew alot of those but couldnt get them out,at times like that you either do really well when the adrenaline pumps or lose the plot and his specialist questions covered a wide area

    A guy who spent so much of his life in the Cambridge area should have got the Newmarket question right!

    Their is no such thing as a easy or a hard question.
    You either know it or you Don`t
    But the Sinclair Spectrum wins ever time for me.

    Clive has areas of extreme brilliance that he has most applied his mind on and whatever his factual general knowledge there is no doubt he is a very intelligent person!!! He has an IQ of 137! He was the chairman of British Mensa from 1980 - 1997. There are different types of general knowledge questions in all sort of quizzes. I do better at University Challenge relative to its contestants than on supposedly easier??? quizzes. The most I have scored on mastermind is about 11 or 12 on The Beatles. In the general knowledge round I usually score on average about 5 or 6 but I'd shit myself on that frigging chair with the spotlight on me!!!

    Trivia knowledge is not a test of true intelligence. If the host had posed intellectual and/or mathematical problems to him he would have done much better, I wager. There are plenty of people in the world with good memories - which is good for trivia - but not so good at deciphering problems or "thinking around corners" as it is sometimes put. Clive is not doubt a genius (he was a card-carrying member of MENSA), and will no doubt be remembered as such.

    He had the right idea with the C5 but not the technology, before its time really.
    Look at Tesla motors there latest models are getting between 240 and 310 miles per charge, and there
    performance car does 0-60 in 3.2 seconds.

      It's 'THEIR'. Even Sir Clive Sinclair would know the correct spelling.

    Christ, I did better than Clive. I got seven of those in his specialist subject round. S'pose I wasn't under any pressure, though.

      Same here. I got almost all of them. I was shocked to see his score.

    Sir Clive was last?!? I thought he was meant to be a genius as I think he was president of Mensa in the UK.

    • @pizzaboy4463
      @pizzaboy4463 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The level to become a member of Mensa is below that of genius level. Sir Clive, however, was its Chaorman and is its Honorary President. Mastermind is a test of memory and composure, not strictly IQ, so I think he is probably a genius.

      He chose a ridiculously broad topic.

  • @calderarecords
    @calderarecords ปีที่แล้ว

    He is obviously not interested in frivolous pastimes such as Sports & fame. Don't blame him. But he knows his history fairly well & is more intelligent than the average human today lol!

    He should have kept his ginge beard, that made him look intelligent. However, with that score, ooops.

    I still think the Spectrum was the greatest electronic invention ever. I had a +2 manufacured by Lord Sugars awful company. Having said that it lasted nearly 20 years 18 years longer than any other cheap Amstrad tech I've owned.
