marid's second round is insanely good, and it's so fascinating how good she is considering most of her movesets are relatively simpler and there wasn't any move that truly popped off technically but as a whole, it's truly a brilliant performance🫶 although i'm a huge fan of cera, i think everyone knows she's more suited for instrumental music rather than the ones with strong emotions or characters. but it was still a beautiful piece from her end. keep working hard and i'm always rooting for you to win your first major competition in the future cera!!🎉🎉
서로에 대해 워낙 잘아는사이라 배틀속에서 서로 리스펙하고 아껴주는 모습이 댄싱과 감정에서 느껴진다.... 1라운드 쎄라의 감정과 연기로 스토리를 만들어가고 감정의마지노선에서 마리드님이 그감정을 이어받아 스토리가 완성된 느낌 서로 감정을 밀어주고 당겨주는 모습과 이끌어내는 모습들이 마치 한편의 뮤지컬을 본것같다.배틀의 의미보다 둘다 여주였음!
My two favorite waackers!!! Cera won the first round for me and Marid won the 2nd round (a tie would've been great!) but nonetheless, it was an amazing performance by the both of them!

Round 1: TIE - Cera incorporating ballet to her waack, while I've seen some contemporary base on Marid's performance. It's just beautiful and emotional. Round 2: Marid - Cera did very well as usual hitting every instrument, but Marid did the same PLUS she gave more texture on this round like when she hit that out at 4:36 with open soft, quick and open palm to create that appropriate flavour to the sound. And this one 5:18 is so beautiful and animated like giving an alice in wonderland vibe.

last year marid and chihiro doing "Never Be Like You" in the semi final and this year marid and cera doing "Flashlight"🥲i'm crying so hard... the girls know how to dance with emotions. and wizzard knows how to play these songs...
and i feel like marid is unbeatable when it comes to emotional&sentimental music. she knows how to balance emotion and her techniques in her dance. i love her so much.

5:07 마리드의 이런 표현 정말 뛰어나다. 무엇보다 이 음악 립제이 져지쇼할때 들었던건데 언제 다 외웠대; 음악 암기 완료되면 거의 뭐 져지쇼를 매번 만들어내는 수준. 그리고 개인적으로 감동 포인트인데 마리드가 당당하게 관객을 향해서 5:07의 퍼포먼스를 했다는게, 관객들이 저런 표현을 대면할 수 있어서 좋았다는 생각이 듦.

Many don't understand why Cera didn't win despite her musical detail. In Waacking, technique is just one factor. Marid showed her character and emotion in the second match, while Cera only hit the beats. In Waack, "See the music" is crucial-do anything, but ensure the audience feels the music's essence. Young waackers, fill your soul with music. Please.

Marid won both rounds for me : 1st round: This song needs an elevated level of emotion expression and marid gave that too me more than cera did and it was mainly because she knew the lyrics and imo lipsyncing in these types of songs really adds a important layer to the performance. Not only marid knew the words, but she also knew the melodies and runs in vocals so well (example : 2:44) which benefited her in some moments. And most importantly , I think the main reason why cera lost this round is the lack of connection between moves and sets so it didn't feel as complete and smooth as marid's performance. BUT GREAT ROUND FOR BOTH. 2nd round : Great song choice btw. Both of them did great but marid most definitely knew the song more much than cera and had better musicality and that really showed especially in the pause she did in 5:09 and how she handled the part that came after really well. BUT KUDOS FOR BOTH OF THEM FOR GIVING GREAT PERFORMANCES AND THEY JUST KEEP SOLDIFYING THEIR STATUS AS ONE OF THE BEST WAACKERS NOW
Marid's great performance in this round made me feel like I was watching the judge showcases rather than the semi-finals. The way she captures emotions and pushes them to the next level, her acting and skills are so amazing that it makes me watch it again and again, for me Marid won this battle without question argue. of course Cera did a great job too✨, respect to them both for creating a legendary battle i love them both ❤️🖤
세미파이널에서 두번 연속 down tempo인곡을 선곡으로 낸것은 좀 아니라고 봅니다... 1라운드 선곡은 괜찮다 해도 2라운드도 톤 다운인 곡을 내니깐 뭔가 두 참가자의 진가를 보지 못한 아쉬움이 남는 배틀이였네요. 물론 low tension에서 꺼집어내는 두분의 play도 일품이지만 그것은 첫번쨰 라운드에서 충분했다고 봅니다,,

세라 진짜 국보다...해가 갈수록 단단해지는 근육과 섬세해지는 컨트롤, 더 흠잡을 곳 없어지는 발란스에서 나오는 여유로운 표현까지... ; 프리여도 전체 그림이 그려진 다음 하나씩 수행해내는 과정을 그녀는 묵묵히 그려내는 느낌이다.... 진짜 프로 그 이상이야

발레 전공자라 들었는데 역시 전통 무용수로서의 몸에 밴 고급짐이 동작 하나 버릴거 없이 섬세하고 아름다움. 너무 팔 휘두르는 느낌도 없고 전체적 밸런스가 강약 조절이 짱.
왁킹이 감정을 표현해내는 장르이기도한데 플래시라이트때는 진짜 누가잘했냐가 생각도안났음...쎄라 마리드가 합동해서 그냥 감정에네르기파 쓰나미 허리케인으로 보는사람을 보내버렸다... 올해 세미파이널은 올타임레전드다...

And most importantly , I think the main reason why cera lost this round is the lack of connection between moves and sets so it didn't feel as complete and smooth as marid's performance. BUT GREAT ROUND FOR BOTH.
2nd round :
Great song choice btw. Both of them did great but marid most definitely knew the song more much than cera and had better musicality and that really showed especially in the pause she did in 5:09 and how she handled the part that came after really well.
BUT KUDOS FOR BOTH OF THEM FOR GIVING GREAT PERFORMANCES AND THEY JUST KEEP SOLDIFYING THEIR STATUS AS ONE OF THE BEST WAACKERS NOW

Marid's great performance in this round made me feel like I was watching the judge showcases rather than the semi-finals. The way she captures emotions and pushes them to the next level, her acting and skills are so amazing that it makes me watch it again and again, for me Marid won this battle without question argue. of course Cera did a great job too✨, respect to them both for creating a legendary battle i love them both ❤️🖤

2라운드 마리드 진짜 레전드
세미파이널에서 두번 연속 down tempo인곡을 선곡으로 낸것은 좀 아니라고 봅니다... 1라운드 선곡은 괜찮다 해도 2라운드도 톤 다운인 곡을 내니깐 뭔가 두 참가자의 진가를 보지 못한 아쉬움이 남는 배틀이였네요. 물론 low tension에서 꺼집어내는 두분의 play도 일품이지만 그것은 첫번쨰 라운드에서 충분했다고 봅니다,,

결승에 가까울수록 화려하고 업시키는 음악 보다는 난해하고 느린 템포의 음악을 트는 이유는 우월을 가리기 어렵기 때문에 변별력을 높이기 위함이죠.
