I am not usually one to add a comment, but I unexpectedly lost my sweet baby girl 2 months ago, she was a year and a half old. I am surrounded by an amazing community and deeply rooted in my faith, but clicked on this video while cooking so I wouldn’t be sitting in my thoughts. I’m not sure what I was expecting with this video, but felt encouraged in so many different ways by all of you. About life, death, beyond death and aging. I feel grateful for the wisdom and knowledge the Lord has given each of you and how you are helping steward so many women. I have been reading the book Heaven by Randy Alcorn and it’s helped a lot, but it’s a studious read, so a little harder to get through. I will be ordering the books mentioned asap. I just wanted to say thank you for the encouragement and hopefully encourage you guys as well.🫶🏼

I am 48 and in perimenopause. I had no idea what a woman can go through in this stage of life. Men are often surprised and blindsided by their wives' changes too. I have been sharing what I am learning with my husband, so he doesn't think I've lost my mind. He says "We'll get through this." The process can last many years. I am learning so as to be the best mom and wife eventhough I feel irritated and crabby often. Self control and patience are being built as I choose to love and serve my family intentionally, even when the nurturing hormones are dwindling/adjusting.
Sadie, can you do a pod cast on marriage and appreciating your partner and how to build that? My husband and I are in the thick of it with a 1 year old and wanting a 2nd, but I feel like we are just now getting back to where we were, so it would be nice to hear your perspective, I know you have a private relationship with Christain, so maybe if you know someone who is willing to open up about it and how they re-learned how to appreciate and love their partner?
One of the best podcasts I’ve ever listened to. I am a Grandmother and just a few days ago our family lost a full term infant after 12 days. 5 years ago we lost another grandchild. I deal with the stronghold of the fear of death. I needed to hear all of this . Thank you so much.❤❤❤
I am 58. I feel like my 40’s were my best, although my 50’s aren’t terrible!❤. And your mom, tu mama and great grandma all look AMAZING for their age!😮
Thanks for this! I’m walking through losing my Mom right now, she is 53 and in hospice. She lost us to foster care and it broke our family but God restored us. It hasn’t been easy though. We lost our Dad at 46 to a heart attack. Thank God he writes the story and as times goes on we do realize that we can make it through hard things.
This was a great one to hear. When I was 12 years old my mom passed away at the age of 32. When I turned 30 I was so afraid that I was getting closer to her age because it brought me so much anxiety thinking about it. When my daughter turned 12 this year it brought me the same anxiety because I was her age when my mom passed. Death was always a scary thing to think about but reading His word and having Jesus in my life has truly brought a calmness over me.
My momma and daddy have passed away and I have so needed this and missed this “ round table” discussion that’s full of faith and wisdom❤ thank you so much 😊

I can not tell you how amazing of an episode this is. Seeing all these generations of women is so inspiring. There really is such a fear in women, especially nowadays with our generation, of aging when really it should be celebrated. I’m turning thirty in a couple of months and sometimes when I think about it I’m excited and sometimes when I think about it I’m like “oh no I’m getting older” and I feel like this is a great instilled in me from social media and society in general. Society does not let women age gracefully when we really should be.
Already in the first minute wisdom is shed! I think one facet to why you aren’t scared of aging and (me either) is because you have been told otherwise and believing it is a big part. Like for marriage when a lot of our culture says you’ll hate your spouse and hate the way they breathe eventually, that doesn’t mean that’s how it’s going to be. Same with aging. Culture tells us all the fear and fixes and your gma told you to look forward to it, beautiful.
I love your inter generational family. So many families are fractured. We live so far away from each other. Families like your, I think, are rare and beautiful

LADIES, THANK YOU!! ❤️🙏 I lost my mother in January 2022 and I have felt so lost so much of the time since then. I’m long-time divorced & live alone at 64 yrs old. I’m not sure what my purpose is right now, but I am a true believer in Christ, and have been all of my life and he has never failed me. This is such an encouraging video to get up off the couch and LIVE! God bless you all and all your families!! 🙏❤️
I lost my 21 yr old son in October of 2021. A few months later I read Imagine Heaven and I can imagine my son in heaven with Jesus arms wrapped around him. I mentioned to a friend that although I miss my son I’m still at peace and she said that’s the peace that passes all understanding which God has given me. My son was an organ donor and donated 6 organs to 5 people. We have met 4 of them and they are so grateful and have a deep faith in God too.
My pastors father is well beloved by our whole church and something my pastor said on the aging front recently really stuck. He said that his fathers walk with Jesus couldn’t be any more important than it is now, because so many people look up to his dad and he said imagine if he walked away from Jesus now. How many people would think “Wow, if he didn’t make it. How could I?” Makes me think about Paul talking about finishing the race set before him. So important to finish strong.

You go on because you don’t have a choice. It was never on my radar that I would be a widow at age 55. Were it not for my dogs I would not have gotten out of bed again. These dogs who annoyed my husband so badly are what God had sent me so I could survive my husband’s death.

My dad, mom, and one of my younger brothers left to be with the Lord. Thanks for the advised about how to cope with that, blessing.
The women in my family hate turning 30. It seems like we get all the health problems and feel horrible in our 30s. Bit 40s, everything clears up and we're good. It's so weird. I turned 43 yesterday, and I'm pretty content.
