    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For many dealing with anxiety issues it feels like the only thing that is holding them back from their anxiety recovery is their anxiety symptoms. We obsess over our body and experience all kinds of sensations that mimic a real physical illness. The shallow breathing, chest tightness, a racing or pounding heart combined with numbness in the left arm all point towards a heart attack for example! These sensations feel so real, especially during the first few panic attacks, that we believe that there is no possible way that it can really be from anxiety alone.
We rush to get tests done, research all we can about some possibly rare disease all so that we can get some mental clarity and can logically explain ourselves what is going on.
The thing is that we get turned down from doctors saying that we are fine BUT that relief doesn’t feel satisfying and we are still stuck in a limbo between trusting the anxiety diagnosis and the worry that there might still be something that hasn’t been checked out yet. We feel stuck and don’t know how to get that answer we so crave, all while we want nothing more than to make the physical sensations stop!
Because of this we are stuck in this cycle to find shorts burst of relief and, feeling a bit better and then going back to feeling anxious again. Over time we seem not to make any progress and often feel worse than when it all started. We feel depressed, tired, hopeless…
In this video I will share a small mindset change and the steps that I took to finally fully recover from anxiety and all its symptoms.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As always I hope that this video helps you understand what is going on during these very normal anxiety recovery steps.
Hopefully you will feel more at ease and can concentrate on the more important parts of anxiety recovery. Which I describe in more detail here in this playlist:

There you go again!!! Helping people everywhere with their anxiety. I too spent the better part of 5 years in the vicious cycle of panic and anxiety. @@angiebalice7603 just believe when I tell you this, if I can recover any one can. You can beat anxiety. I spent almost 5 years running. I never knew what I was running from or where I was running to but I just knew I had to run. I have never known such a feeling before. I went to the ER 10 times in one year. Convinced I was dying of some disease, I ran to every doctor out there. Nothing was ever wrong with me physically. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone, but I know now just how strong I am and can honestly say that it made me a better person. I have so much compassion for anyone with any type of anxiety, panic, or depression. Did you ever notice how we all describe our symptoms the exact same way? I finally accepted that what I had was anxiety! Nothing more and nothing less. I accepted that I was going crazy and that what I was feeling was perfectly normal and my body’s way of trying to keep me safe. You are stronger than you think and you will recover. I promise you!

@@Mavericknmaddie thank you, I feel just stuck and it’s a horrible feeling, and I constantly feel alone fighting, these videos and comments help me realize I’m not alone. It is just hard for me to find somewhere to start, I’m always told to just try and relax. But I don’t know how to relax, like I’m in the same boat with going to the Er 10 times in a year, seen so many doctors, and the only thing I have was a heart arrhythmia that could be from anxiety, but there’s no known reason for it. I just know hearing other people’s stories help. A lot of times I tell myself it’s just anxiety but my brain doesn’t listen snd will go off with illnesses. I’ve been told to exercise and every other thing in the world but I can’t figure out where to start so it makes it harder. I’m glad to hear you recovered and I’m at the point of forcing myself to. I’m tired of being scared and I just want to be “normal” so that is my goal. To just feel like myself finally, hopefully pushing myself to get better and just try to keep moving everyday can help it. Thank you again, it helps a lot hearing someone who recovered.

Yes this is the answer. Great post. I know its hard but you must go through the symptoms Your fear centre in the brain only learns by experience, not by reading, searching and thinking. You need to go out there and show the brain the fear is not required and it will switch off. It is hard to do at first but stick with it. It takes time so be patient but dont be discouraged. The goal is not to be free of fear response (no one has this it is wired into humans via fight or flight), the goal is to show fear does not matter and to be comfortable with it. It takes effort, courage and strength but you can do this I promise 👊

I am recovering. Probably the longest I’ve been without profound symptoms. I used to have two week episodes of feeling great/recovered, then I feel a symptom, and go right back to super anxious state and my discomfort comes back for like another month. It’s been about 3 weeks now and symptoms aren’t popping up like they used to. They are of far less intensity.
Honestly, I figured out the root cause of my anxiety, the emotional trauma that started it all back during the summer. I began to make peace with it, and vowed to work on it. And over time (it wasn’t overnight) I think my mind accepted this and knew I was going to be alright...if I take care of that emotional trauma. The trauma being jobless, penniless during the pandemic, and getting hit with MASSIVE hospital bills during the summer from an ER stay back in Jan of 2020. I was going through a huge financial crisis, which caused psychological turmoil in me, and caused my anxiety. Took me a while to figure that out. It was my subconscious being scared of the fact I have no money, the #1 resource needed to live a decent life and deal with bills. It was my mind telling me, “YOU ARE NOT PREPARED IN LIFE. You need money to survive!! START GETTING SOME!!”
I finally have job interviews lined up, and meditated on the notion I WILL find a job. It seems like my mind is accepting this new mindset and is calming itself down, knowing money will be on the way soon.
Guys like you, Trey Jones, and Cherelle Jordan all helped me so much. Regular people who’ve been through this, far worse than a lot of us here, and overcame it.
We don’t see doctors have videos like this online, because I’m sure 99% of doctors haven’t been through health anxiety. So having regular people talk about this, is a godsend for the rest of us. It’s a lot of inspiration.
Just know, someone out there is early on in their health anxiety phase, or deep in it, and are scouring the internet for help and guidance. They may come across your videos at some point. Just know you ARE helping others out there, me being one of them!!

The hospital ran a lot of test and everything was fine and then I started experiencing anxiety and constantly thinking that they probably missed something. I got a second opinion which concluded that i was indeed fine. I educated myself on anxiety and how to handle it and how to reduce the severity with deep breathing, meditation and somatic exercises. I still sometimes feel anxiety but the severity is less and less every day. Also jumping up and down and shaking your arms and legs helps release the anxiety.

I’m currently struggling with health anxiety. I’m scared that my heart is unhealthy and my blood pressure is too high. I’m extremely scared of BP cuffs because when having anxiety at home I used a BP cuff and it read really high. At the doctors I was just as nervous and when they took the BP it was a little high but not as high as the portable BP cuff. Now I dread thinking it’s a matter of time before it spirals into something I can no longer hold back. Last year i was drinking a lot of energy drinks, not all day everyday but one most days. eventually i was having a lot of shortness of breath and i was panicking a lot so i went to the hospital with my mum and had my ecg, blood pressure done and the doctor said there was nothing wrong with me. I had shortness of breath for about 3-4 months, i have to yawn to get a nice deep breath even tho really my body is getting enough air already. I’ve got shortness of breath again and i constantly worry about my heart and all sorts of stuff. I’m only 15 but i worry about having heart attack, dying in my sleep because of my shortness of breath and all sorts. I also get this thing where i feel disconnected from my body, like i’m not real, like i’m in a fake dream. I think it’s called depersonalisation and it’s connected to anxiety. What are you thoughts on this Improvement Path?

    • @ImprovementPath

I am of course no doctor but what you are describing sound a lot like me during my anxiety days. Ive read so many comments here on the channel from people who triggered their first panic or anxiety attack with energy drinks. Once in that elevated state your mind will turn negative and those negative thoughts will keep you in that spiral of anxiety.
It is so important that you now work on healthy, stress-reducing habits this early - the earlier you being the easier it will be.
