Text is from a Norwegian poem by Norwegian Author Hans Hyldbakk, written in april 1945. It is thought that the word "Våren" ( spring ) is a metaphore for the Liberation of Norway from world war 2 and the poem is considered to be a celebration of Peace. The Norwegian artist Henning Sommerø and his Music Group Vårsøg, made the melody to the poem and released it in 1977.
And to this day Henning Sommero is a professor at the music department of Norway's largest university. Norwegian Institute of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim.

@NathanLee0921 I'll see if I can make an approximate tranlation. Poetry is hard to translate, and it is written in an archaic form (ie, still used by just a few speakers and most of them old timers) of a northwestern Norwegian dialect to make it even more interesting. I may even have to look up a few words myself, and I know my language better than most.
@sked79 Jeg vil tro det ikke er så mange i Norge som har GOD oversikt over dialektord som ikke bare er på veg ut av bruk, men også tilhører en dialekt man ikke har levd med. Jeg kan ikke påstå jeg har det. Men jeg er interessert i språket mitt, og kan det bedre enn mange andre, dialekter og etymologi synes jeg er spennende selv om jeg ikke er en språkforsker.

Det er jo egentlig ikke rart at noen tror at dette er en dårligere cover, det HØRES jo sånn ut. Sigmund Groven sin versjon høres ut slik denne egentlig burde ha hørtes ut i min mening. Jazz er fint det altså, men å prøve å pakke inn denne flotte melodien i noe sånt blir ikke å rettferdiggjøre melodien. Rytmen høres jo ut som er lagd av et dårlig Casio keyboard.
