Great job, Thank you for sharing it🙏
welcome
Thanks for your sharing. I'm curious about why the shape of the pin is not circular but rectangular.
will its shape have an influence on the simulation?
@@xsshreporter at low frequency like 5 GHz the signal pin's corner won't be a problem. It would be a problem for 28 GHz though. That's why this SMA connector should not be used for 28 GHz. For 28 GHz, you should use SMK connector. SMA is good for upto 18 GHz
Thanks for your sharing. I modifed the parameters and geometry for my own connector. I wonder if it will be the same for 2 or 4 holes SMA panel mount.
Most likely but I am not certain. If you have a data sheet of your connector, it is good to adhere to the dimensions used in data sheet
Hi
Thanks for the video
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for your sharing! I want to ask, if i use SMA female connector, how do i assign the wave port?
Please Add the Basic Learning Tutorials on HFSS.
Like how to insert a diode in a design, how to create via, etc etc
How can we keep the coordinate system like "center_cs" Above global I tried the same steps but it's not working out. Need help. Thank you
could you upload a tutorial on bending microstrip patch antenna and assigning wavequideport to bend structure .
Hi!
First of all, nice tutorial. I have to ask you about a specific topic. I've seen some tutorials where they use teflon, for instance, as one layer inside the SMA. You are doing that too and I need to know if it's because of the substrate and that it has to match the antenna? Just FYI, I used Ro as my substrate. Thanks!
No, not for that.. The reason is in a real SMA connector, the dielectric is teflon. We are designing a real SMA to get the similar results.
@@tensorbundle Ah, I see. Makes more sense of course. Me being new to this subject had me confused. Thanks for the help!
Hi
Where can I find the next video of SMA Connector simulation with microstrip line?
Hi!
Very nice video, I'm also looking for the stripline transition.. thanks!
Thanks for your sharing. I have submitted the application to join the FB group, please agree
Hello, Where can i find the file ansys of SMA ?
hey, can you help me with image reconstruction using S parameters ?
It's very simple to draw these things with professional 3D software. Why do you have to use HFSS?
Because that is what antenna engineers use - HFSS or CST. We are electronic engineers, so we dont use AutoCAD like mechanical or civil engineers. Hope now you understood
Can the SMA body be brass?
yes
@@tensorbundle ok ty, i have a question. I wonder if you have ever designed a probe fed pack antenna before but if so, how did you prepare it for fabrication? Mine has an SMD connector at the bottom of it and has a coax of some length attached to it.
Also have you ever implemented a series RLC equivalent in HFSS? I wanna use that as my matching network to help enhance bandwidth, Thank you as you get back to me.
Hello , Thanks for the video. where can I download the file? Thank you.
join this group to download the file

@@tensorbundle I joined the group but I cnt find to download. Please help
@@edisonkho5874 You will find it in "File" section of the group
THANKS :)
Please accept my request to join the antenna lab group, I need this file very much as my file is not working well with the antenna
please provide the video for sma simulation with a microstrip line too
Here is the video to simulate SMA with microstrip line to verify its functioning: th-cam.com/video/-cHbeGcCDc8/w-d-xo.html
How can i contact you?
email is provided at the end of this video. Thanks
WHAT IS THE THICKNESS OF PCB FOR THIS CONNECTOR?
Karen Olan 1.52mm... but thickness is used a parameter (variable) so simply changing its value will automatically change the connector's other related geometry..
Hey,
Can you please help me figure out how to design this for 28 Ghz.
Thanks!
sir iam subcribed the channel and also added in facebook group.can please send the file of SMA connector design in HFSS
Hi
I have subscribe your channel can I get the file of SMA connector
Please request the file Design of SMA Connector in HFSS.
request it in the antenna lab FB group please
