Thank you for that comment I'm super happy that you think so and I hope more ppl are thinking the same. I also like things to the point when I'm watching something as I have no free time for BS that is why I'm trying to make such videos
I really enjoy your videos-always packed with useful information, even though you keep the talking minimal. It's great that you cover everything, as it's sometimes necessary to replace hardware or update things. Having a recent method to install or set things up is super helpful because, after years, it's easy to forget how it was done. Your videos are invaluable for those moments when we only need to do something once in a long while.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm thrilled to hear that you find the videos useful and to the point. It's exactly what I aim for-providing clear, concise guidance for those tasks that pop up every so often and can be tricky to recall. Your support means a lot - thank you
Thanks for the info, but what do you mean by "select it in the list on the blue screen" I can't understand it. Also on what OS did you install the HA Supervised on RPI5?
@@KPeyanski Ah, sorry, after you install Docker, than Supervisor agent, when you start it you need to select which device you have. It is a blue screen. There on the list, there is now aleo Rasberry pi 5 64 bit, and then HA installs. Raspbian
Thanks for the info. Can you please share is your installation supported now? You can check that from the Settings > System > Repairs > Overflow menu (upper right) > System Information > Under Home Assistant Supervisor Section you should see a label supported with value true or false
Hi! What hubs would you recommend to buy with it? Zigbee? Z wave? I don't know if Thread/matter hubs are also available. etc. What do you recommend I choose?
Thank you for your comment. HA Supervised on RPI5 is possible but in order everything to be supported it should be run on Debian 12 and I'm not quite sure if there is an official Debian 12 release for RPI 5
"I would like to set up Home Assistant on Raspberry Pi 5, but I want to directly connect a monitor, speakers, camera, and a few sensors to it. Is this feasible, or do I need to use microcontrollers to connect everything and then connect to the Home Assistant server via ESPHome or something else?"
Most YT-ers would make a 15minute video out of this. You did it in just over 5 minutes. Fast, clear & to the point, I like that.

Right. I appreciate the 5 min video too!
A brilliant guide, a simple as it gets, well done to you!
Glad you liked it!

Thanks! I received my Pi 5 today, and it's the first time I will use Home Assistant :)
Great! Very nice timing :) Enjoy your PI 5 and warm welcome to the HA world!
I installed on Rpi 5 last week Supervised, and works great. Also one can select it in the list on the blue screen after Supervised install.

@@Ajdpogodi thanks for sharing :)
Great introduction to HA OS Thanks
You're welcome
Thanks for the video! But is the HA installed by Pi imager supervised, or does it support docker? Thanks a lot!

As every time it is an excellent video. We are waiting for a video about supervised installation on RPi5. Thanks a lot.

@@KPeyanski the good thing with HA OS is backups will be easy to move to Supervised
i had a raspberry 4 and HA will not load after the last update. I even reinstalled HA and still nothing loads in the browsers or the app. Any ideas?
Hi, i noticed the cooling fan doesn't start with HA OS, how can I do?
Hi! And thanks a lot for youre videos! I have a question for you. Do you know how to install My Media for Alexa on Nabu Casa, Home Assistant Green?
what is my media?
Does the raspberry need to be plugged in with the ethernet cable forever? Or can I just unplug the ethernet cable after the install is done?
great video, thanks!
Glad you liked it! Also, check my other videos as well
Thanks a lot for very usefull video. Is there a RP5 Case that fits SSD M.2 ?
Yes, I think this one is just fine - amzn.to/3uyuuSf
I think with tje M.2 shield there is no case, I red this somewhere. You would need to use external USB.
Thank you!
You're welcome!
So I need to sacrifice my entire PI for Home Assistant? There isn't a way to put it on a a linux?

Is there a way to transfer my already configured raspberry pi4 home assistant settings and everything to my new raspberry pi 5?
That's the restore-from-backup option; see 3:57. To do it, you need a snapshot stored on a filesystem accessible to the browser you are using.
How do I have rasberry os and home assistant?

You are most welcome 🙏
Thanks Kiril.
For nothing, Ron :) Did you get a RPI 5?
@@KPeyanski No. Too much money.
thanks bro
