This knife knife, hiding the frame/liner completely under those swappable scales is impressive, even more so with that s90v DLC blade.

That's absolutely insane. If this is true that is actually laughable. Even more crazy to me because I do not understand the appeal to coated blades in the first place. It just ruins the look of the blade imo
@SixArmedPriest Having a nearly unscratchable blade is a pretty nice feature to have, and if the DLC is real and done right it doesn't take away from the beauty. Most dlcs are not really dlc and look like trash. That price is absolutely ridiculous though. Kunwu does a fantastic shiny DLC and I think they charge 20 bucks extra.
@@ADSUPINTHIS See that's where you lose me. Why do you need a unscratchable blade? It's a knife. Sure if it's a safe queen I guess. Though I personally would never buy a knife for art. Buy to use and carry. Have numerous folders and the blades all look great with no coating.

61.3 is pretty good and I love that they list the exact HRC range more Chinese companies need to learn from this. I would love to see a company do S90V at 63-64HRC which is God mode. And I know China is capable of it (at least the OEM making the newest Monterey Bay Knives model) I have my suspicion about who the OEM is

My daily carry knives are a benchmade afo mini that I customized myself with a deep carry clip, a crkt provoke in red and on my pack shoulder strap I have an extrema ratio misericordia. I also have a few other benchmade knives and a spyderco small fly 2 in Grey. Not a bad start to a knife collec5ion 😃😄😁
I just got mine and have the copper thumb stud and spacers. Wasnt to sure about the coper but it is well worth the upgrade. I think it would look great against the black. I am mot typicaly a $300 k ife guy but this one was just so nice looking i had to jump on it. Just love this knife

I got the mirror DLC Kraken and it's almost perfect. The flat part on the clip side of the blade is a little off. Still beautiful tho

Hey, just wanted to thank you for calling out the 20.5 sales at BladeHQ on your recent livestream. Got the 20cv black Slicer w/grey G-10 (BHQ exclusive) rather than the grivory. Got it for $120, it's back up to 275 already. The grivory ones are still on sale if anyone is interested, but the G-10 sale didn't last as long.
Anyway, its my first Demko, and I am in love with it all around. Wouldn't have taken the chance without your call out on the price. Much appreciated!
Yea demkos rock...i got one of the grivory slicer ad20.5's for $130 and i paid like $220 for my shark cub so that eas a hell of a deal
Took apart the stretch 2 last night, much bigger pain in the ass then I thought it would be. Ive successfully taken apart several benchmade, spyderco's kizer, CS etc. But those seki models are a different beast.

Does dlc improve a knife that much?
It has its benefits, great corrosion resistance, super tough unlike most black coatings, dlc won't be coming off anytime soon & it's hard to scratch. It also improves the coefficient of friction (makes the blade slide through material better)

Have you ever noticed the corrosion resistance of cerekote° is much higher than DLC? So why the the big hoohaa over DLC, when there is something at least better?

@@jeffhamilton4587 I use it on guns, but on knives polished then DLC coated just speaks to me. I only have it on upper end knives. As far as corrosion resistant, most of the steels are really good on that already.

So the one ur showing in this video is just there regular dlc finish not the $500 one? If that's the case that's my fault I was under the impression that the regular dlc would be the chalky version of dlc and the mirror polished would be the shiny one. That's my fault for not knowing the difference and jumping to conclusions. I'll delete my comment as I should have never said it without understanding the difference. If u could help me understand the difference between the shiny and polished dlc I would appreciate it? Sorry again for the comments without knowing the facts.
