I'm 44. Been a gamer my whole life. Never got into fighters. SFV was on sale last week. I been practicin fireballs ever since. lol. I will likely be going through your back catalog and thought i'd drop a comment.
@@xNightMareEffecT Just starting with V for now. BUT!!... I DID demo sf6 and it seems even more beginner friendly, so i may have to scoop that soon. I was thinking, if they made the Online spectation part of the game free-to-watch, I think that would get/keep a lot of those who haven't converted yet interested and eventually they'd want to join in and would buy the game. Just make that part of the demo. IJS. Thoughts?
I'm at super bronze rn and the fights in that rank are so draining, not even in a fun way so I took a break. I don't know if SF6 is gonna be the same beast.
SF6 will probably be the same tbh. Especially with it being more new player welcoming You can expect the same BUT If you aim to get the upper hand with V, SF6 will become easier for you What’s draining you?
@@xNightMareEffecT playing possum with shotos who jump back and fireball and just blocking. Then there's the times when I get completely bamboozled with opponents offense so I just autopilot something and I lose the round.
Had over 1000 ranked matches stuck in super silver and ultra silver. Getting matched up with golds and getting destroyed. Had enough and snapped the disc. I owe my time to better things not this broken game
I’ve been a Gold player for years and recently just started blowing through Plat. It’s such a good feeling when things start to click and honestly everyone just feels like regular humans that are beatable instead of looking at ranks to think “well I can’t beat this person”
Fantastic video. Thanks a lot. I just picked up SFV again, today, as I felt like giving it another try. I had next to zero idea what I was doing, as the tutorial explained next to nothing, so I was just practicing inputs and stuff like that in the training mode, to see what everything does and how things work. Good to know there are more detailed tutorials, even if I don't fully understand why they're hidden away in the Challenges menu. But yeah, this was a great video that I think is gonna help me a lot in the future, as I think I have a better understanding of what to do and how to go about it. I appreciate it. Thank you!
I love frame data explanations. We needed more of this and street fighter 5 makes it very comprehensive with the frame data display. Thanks for connecting the dots.
I don’t know if this is the case for anyone else but doing training in between rounds I think hurts me more during my sessions. I tend to look for certain combos instead of just going with the flow of the match. Not to mention the pause before matches can help with the mental fatigue I feel.
Really great video that I wish I had back when I started. I love how this gives the real practical stuff that you need to know to actually learn. If you know your frame data, blockstrings, etc you can use that to solve problems you face. A lot of guides tell new players to not worry and just play. That's basically throwing someone into the ocean without teaching them to swim. Good stuff, man!
Glad it was helpful! Yeah it’s easy to tell people learn as you play but the proper way to really introduce yourself into fighting games, breaking it down all the way to the simple matters 😎😎
Real good video nightmare. Main thing that suck about it is, sf6 right around the corner and sfv about to be over. Hopefully this video carry over to 6
I doubt SFV is gonna "be over". People will definitely still play it. Sf6 will probably boom in the first few days, but once the hype dies down there are bound to be some people who don't like it and will stick to V. I myself just bought V and will be sticking to it cause my potato won't be able to run 6.
