Never quite understood people's fixation with the android auto feature missing from Chinese roms. I'm an iPhone user for work purposes and a soon vivo ultra owner for picture quality and even if my car has wireless carplay and all those features, I never connect my phones to that. Instead I bought 2 years ago an android box that connects to the car USB port and everything looks like built in. I get my phone calls normally thru car's Bluetooth, but everything else goes via this tiny box. Navigation, social media, media streaming (yes it has TH-cam not only TH-cam music like the default carplay experience), etc. Mike should do a review on that👍

There are few AI box available which are different to regular adapters. Brands like Carlinkit and ottocast which can replace wired connections to wireless but it doesn’t say if it supports Chinese rom phones. I am keen to know if they work or not as well.

Hey Mike great video love watching as always, a quick note on wifi calling, as you know i purchased a vivo xfold 3 pro and it does not have wifi calling feature, however i went into my sim settings and the option to enable wifi calling was there, now i have wifi calling icon displayed active, working and tested over 3 weeks without issue. Also i have 5 different banking apps and google pay all working without issue. The only problem i have encountered is my Zettle Go app (tap to take payments for my business) tends to freeze or hang and requires a restart occasionally, most of the time it does seem to work fine. I also recently purchased the Huawei watch 4 pro and connected it fine via installing the apk file directly from huawei's website, however google pay is not supported on the watch. Hope this helps anyone considering the x fold 3 pro, overall i love mine, battery life and camera are amazing, compared to most of the samsung devices i have owned!

I have a Vivo X Fold 3 from Average Dad and I only had so far a few limitations. Google Pay works for me but only some banking cards can be added. Lloyds and Starling and couldn't add - Monzo, Pulse, Marbles all work fine. I also have my Galaxy 6 Classic watch connected with no issues at all. Android Auto is so not working. I need to try these adapter to see if that works. Apart from the issues above everything else works like a dream
Could you please share the steps you follwed to connect your Galaxy Watch 6 Classic? I managed once with my X Fold 3 Pro, but after a disconnect it gets kicked out of the wearable app. Thanks in advance
Scroll down to you see the 5 bullet points steps on how to pair the watch and it should work as it's worked for me - Also make sure you enable Autostart and turn off battery saver on the apps - Galaxy Wear, wear os

Great informative video mate ! In the case of Huawei I would argue that using the Chinese Rom is the only way to go as its consistently updated earlier than the global version

You are right about the banking apps on Huawei phones...i stopped using my huawei p30 pro because the banking apps either wouldn't let me log in or it will just force close.
I know you said you've been very busy recently, but can you please make a video regarding Android Auto and CN roms please? I've always been told it's not a possibility with my X90 Pro+, all XDA forums say it will never work. I'd love to see that is not the case and I'd definitely consider an adapter if you show a video of it working. It seems any video showing an adapter isn't using a CN rom. Looking to upgrade to X100 Ultra and would be nice to see that AA is possible with it also. Thanks in advance
Tested two Android Auto boxes/adapters (Carsifi and Sunweyer). Couldn't get Android Auto running... But will continue trying. Anybody else successful? If so, which adapter are you using?

If your not bother about software, which phone would you go for honor v2 or opo, like the look of the v2 better , but camera better on opo, honor v2 better deal in uk can get it for 1170 with free honor tablet worth 299 the opo is 1350, so honor is the better deal what you think? Happy Friday All, I bought AAWireless adapter and have tried many times but still Magic V2 is throwing out communication error 22. It will not work unless the Android Auto is installed on the phone as system app which we can't install/uninstall like normal apps. FYI.. We can manually install Android Auto and it turns out in connection setting, but still that was user app, not system app. Error 22 still persist. Thanks
I agree with the above. There is 0% chance that any China Rom will work without unlocking the bootloader and installing some extra modules.
Dear AvgDad, since you've been promoting China phones a lot, just wondering if you could try request Honor to pack the Android Auto in the next OS patch? I believe that will raise up the confidence & satisfaction in using China phones in Western world. Many thanks.
I'm considering buying a Vivo X Fold 3 Pro from you. I live in America. Android Auto was a concern, but I'm glad I can just buy an adapter. However, I also have a smartwatch, the Garmin Venu 3. Has anyone mentioned issues with connecting to Garmin devices?
What about Google assistant and nearby share aka quick share?
what about them? it had native google services so of course they work

Nearby share and quick share are features that work fine. google location history will not work but i do not see that as an 'issue'
@@AverageDadOfficial how do you enable quick share? I don't have it on my iqoo 12 with coloros and on reddit people say you need to root your phone to access it

Great Channel and content. Keep up the great work! I bought Oppo Find X7 Ultra based on your review. Good experience so far. The issue that I don't hear anyone talk about is Google Messenger. My text message history will not appear on the Oppo. I installed Google1 and still nothing. Anyone else solve this issue? Anyone know of a good forum for troubleshooting Chinese ROM issues? The one issue with the band 20 that I could potentially see is that there is VoLTE, Voice over LTE, and if band 20 is their only 4G band, then they would be missing that.
Hi AD, love your content here. Because of you I'm now interested in Chinese rom phones. I'm currently in the states and becoming tired of Samsung. Waiting for the global release of the vivo x fold 3 but the only thing I'm concerned about is with it being a foldable (my first one) what third party insurance would you recommend? Also do they receive android features like Circle to Search? Thanks
Circle to search is already implemented as a vivo function. Well not the Google one, but similar. Tap on hold the screen with two fingers and you get text recognition, translation, ... of the current screen
I am on Vivo fold 3 pro, worked out that it doesn't do quick share with other android/PC. Only Vivo share. Also, GPS signal is weak in Australia. Otherwise I am happy.

@@tvsamsontalkshow5005Honor magic 6 ultimate are Chinese room. But Pro version you can get a Global version directly from Honor in Germany for 999.90€ you can even buy Eu plug for 1€ and they send a case included. Havent seen the global version of it from this store

I regret buying x100 pro. When I heard Android auto wouldn't be a feature I didn't mind but then the notification issues started (a nightmare I tried everything) and then I realized I can't use hey Google either rip
About to pick up an Oppo Find X7 Ultra from your store. Curious as to whether it would work with my OnePlus Watch 2, hoping that it being a BBK product might help. Edit: I'm a moron, I have a Vivo X Note, also a BBK product, so I will test it out and see how it goes. Update: It went……..poorly!

Mine experience from chinese rom is bad, i had a huawei nova 9pro 4g direct from chinese shop and when it comes didnt connect easy to my carrier with many problems cause worked only B1-B3 but not B20 and for my dissapointed the phone now is usless and go to the box and the other thing i didnt like that the phone after 1 month had issues with battery drain the life of the battery is 89% in 4 months from the day i bought it .I live in Greece and now decide to sell it but is usless for anyone have new sim card .Very bad buy for me!
