      David Stephenson.....I grew up in Malta as well but never even heard of it. I live in Canada now and in my neck of the woods I'm not harvesting anything except snow and more snow. I detest the stuff.

      Hi Kym! Well that put a smile on my face! The recipe vids were some of the first videos we made so excuse the amateur shooting and editing. Not that we are pros now but we like to think we have improved over the last year.😁😁

    Tried and devoured whilst still warm and butter melts on it. A massive improvement over the spongy ones you find everywhere.

      Semolina is a type of coarse flour that's made from durum wheat. You should be able to find it.

    Maltese language is a Maghreb dialect shared by many in the Med. area. So not only Lebanese understand it but Algerians as well. Interestingly this bread covered with sesame seed and not sweet, is sold all around Turkey as a street food where it's known as simet.

    • @lukeandsarahsoffgridlife
      @lukeandsarahsoffgridlife  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Maltese language is not a dialect. It is it's own language consisting of a mix of language of peoples that have ruled malta over the years. Arabic , italian, english and some french. This bread is also similar to a lebanese bread called kaak.

    Oh going to try this one at Easter can I just put it on a tray as I haven’t any bricks that will work I looked after the last video on bread
    My husband wanted to no why I was washing bricks from the garden I told him to bake bread he said I can’t use breeze blocks and laughed 😂😂😂😂 well I have two nice clean breeze blocks anyway 😁

    • @lukeandsarahsoffgridlife
      @lukeandsarahsoffgridlife  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hahaha...love it! Yes it will be fine on a tray. You can buy proper pizza stones for use in an oven if you ever get into bread and pizza making.
