- In today’s video, I interview my friend and fellow coin dealer Tony. With over 35 years of experience on the hobby, Tony provides some interesting insight into coin collecting, precious metal stacking and also talks about a recent experience that he had at a coin auction. And I’m doing it just the opposite. I’m stacking now and 10 years from now. If everything gets better I’ll collect. I just started stacking I’ve been stacking for a year. I collected when I was 11 to 14 years old. I’m 59 now. Glory to GOD!
I love these types of Interview on other Coin dealers always fun to watch!
I just met Tony a couple weeks ago at the Bismarck flea market! Such a great human could sit there and talk to him for hours very very smart with it!
Great interview! Yeah, people are starting to get wise to the level of risk we are sitting on top of, and they are opting to get out of the numismatics and straight into the bullion products. Numismatics do their best during good times, and they do their worst during very difficult times. That doesn't mean that you need to sell all your collectibles, but if I were a numismatist of any sort, I would definitely put that on the back burner and focus on buying Silver and a lot of fractional Gold.
Great interview… a wealth of knowledge to tap into…
I scooped 261 dimes at a auction Saturday at 18.71 a OZ! Killer deal!
That was a hell of a deal!
Damn, definitely one hell of a deal.
@@AnxiousStacker Auction houses is where I have made my best deals. Last time was 10 tubes of 40% Kennedy halves for 43 a tube. Turned around and sold them for spot and got gold. They don't happen often. But when they do. Patience... wait till the big money is gone and be the bottom feeder.
@@soulpatchjackson3076 oh damn that's awesome. I'm always on the lookout for a deal. Happy hunting sir 🙂
Tony is a interesting dealer
Some great experiences to share
GREAT
I stood in the Arizona sun for 6 hours waiting on an auctioneer to sell some rolls of indians like the label on the plastic tube said.
What was really in the tubes was 2.5 indians...sure they were indians but GOLD.
One guy commented that the auctioneer didn't know what they had and they shut the auction down.
Some people don't know how to make money...
We were pissed off to say the least.
Great video and story love to see these collectors that have been collecting for a long time and have seen the different cycle in collecting and prices.
Good video, always good to hear words of wisdom not hype and fantasy
I think you need to clip that mic a little higher... great interview, wish I could go through his albums! Man there are probably a lot of hidden treasures in them
Numismatics is going to be the top seller for a while. I think a lot of us have all the bullion we want right now, I doubt silver tops any price of the last three years anytime soon, and we're really collectors at heart
My coin shop has an inhouse auction on the last Saturday. Nobody showed up. I got dimes for 2. quarters for 4. halves for 9:) I am happy with that.
Pretty good deals man.
Like these interviews. Definitely smart to have a percentage of your stack be in constitutional. I have 100 ozs silver weight in constitutional and been focusing on increasing my Eagles. I want to have 100 ozs constitutional, 500 ozs in eagles and 500 ozs in the lowest premium generic bars and rounds. None of this includes my higher premium stuff and numismatics. All that is kept separate but once ive reached those base stack goals ill be switching over to primarily filling tubes of gold. Thats why i get much more excited when the price dips. The lower the better baby! Just means i get closer to achieving those goals that much sooner. Thanks for sharing sir.
Awesome video I have done business will him
I've been getting 90% silver since the New Year. My stacking plan has shifted from pure weight to 90% silver and fractional silver.
Love videos like this!
Tony needs to be a regular check in guy...When will we hear again from the 'Rock-Star' Skip?
New Skip interview drops this week also
@@minotcoinbullion This is excellent news and always a treat when the 'Rock-Star' is featured!
silver jumped 3% today. Id probably give it a few days and see what happens.
Awesome video!! ✨👏
Just participated in a local auction here in Missoula. A 10oz Cripple Creek Co poured bar sold for $2187 with buyers premium. A 1/10 oz Whitley Mint Gold piece sold for $1187 with buyers premium. Sure they are both collectable, but those are insane prices.
Holy hell that's insane
90% silver will be the first to go when the silver frenzy starts. I just received 40 1964 silver quarters in the mail today...and a 2 oz Egyptian WADJET round.
The U.S. mint should make 90% silver again, but change the face value. I.E. - the ASE should have a face value of $50.00. (yes I know it is already .999 fine)
The fifty cent piece should be $20.00. The quarter should be $10.00 and the dime should be $5.00. This would alert the American public that silver is real money. Just an idea, no absolutes. Your mileage may vary.
Something I'm having to catch myself on, is participation in online auctions. Pretty stuff. Not much thought before you click the mouse...
When when the systematic implosion happens and it will, it’s anyones guess as to how and what it all will unfold considering the unimaginable debt webs that were created and engineered.
Dang, 19x for dimes is kind of steep. No deals there. Those are APMEX prices, LOL
I agree.
If anything,i,m trading up with gold i,m not in love with.valcambi fractional 1 0z bars and krugerands for pre 33,s.less silver as of late.mercs, toned halfs and cc morgans, when available....guess ive evolved as a stacker.generic rounds just dont excite me anymore.got plenty from back in the 80,s / 90,s.
If everyone becomes broke, than who will buy your gold and siver?
Wealth moves hands it doesn't disappear... Technology needs gold and silver.... technology follows wealth around!!!!
Haha! My name is Tony too
Same, lol
Most will not be alive to see $100 silver, and wealth you cannot spend is not wealth.
well if i was selling i would suggest you buy it all too
Thinin it out a bit. Ya. Me too!
I think gold will keep going up. Silver is under valued and should go up.
Question. For those that won't accept pre-1965 as value as it does not state 0.90% silver and look like regular coins, are bullion coins not a better purchase?
silverbugs are so delusional. Silver will NEVER EVER go to the moon. It wont even beat its previous high in our lifetimes. Silver just doesnt move. May as well stack copper....
I think you are wrong!
IT will when we see the shortages...be patient
I'm beginning to believe you are right for the 15-20 years . . . maybe one brief spike.
You are all wrong! Stack Gold as it is Proven over Silver. During Weimar Hyperinflation the GSR went to 180:1. War Nickels had silver instead of nickel because nickel was more valuable. During the days of Solomon Silver had little value Bible Says. The Elite Stack Gold not Silver.
@@JohnSmith-os7zm sorry but that was all before the digital age. silver is now in everything. even weapons today which was not the case in WW1/WW2 (e.g. 500oz silver in every Tomahawk cruise missile). there is now more gold available above ground than silver--fact. silver is more heavily suppressed than gold precisely because it's more valuable. there are major stockpiles of gold everywhere. just do a google images search for "gold reserves" then repeat for "silver reserves". gold just sits in vaults but silver is actually needed and consumed. you wouldn't have been able to write that asinine comment without silver.
GREAT
