I've been in the bike trade for nearly 20 years, had several bikes myself over the years and ride bikes at work every day.. I now have a 2005 carb model cbf and it does everything I want it to. Not the most exciting bike in the world but smooth, solid and reliable.
This bike is still relevant today 2022, it accelerates like a supercar, has a top end that can end you up in jail, i get compliments on her where ever i park, i have my 2012 non abs model now for 2 years and covered 13000km super solid and reliable and perfect for my 71 year old carcass. Groeten andre
CBF600s are cheap even with ABS where I live. They might not be the most exciting thing, but I think one of these might make a great beginner allrounder bike.
I had this bike and got rid of it because it was too fast and heavy for me. It seemed most in its comfort zone around 100mph and I scared myself going over 130mph. I’m older now and don’t think my nerves could take it any more. It was my first bike after passing my test and it was too big and fast for me, but there were no kid range bikes to choose from then, it was just 125s and then, bam, 600s
Mine ( a 2006 N model ) has 330.000 km / 206.000 miles and i loved it from the first day. The best pruchase of my life :)

Passed my test today. This seems perfect for me.
Yeah what's the point of a bike that's great to ride, accelerates like a supercar and will do big mileages reliably and gets good mpg eh!
Looks like a perfect real world bike.

Have the N version of this since 6 months, and am satisfied with it, at least for the next couple of years until it is time for something else.
Real nice bike, I have the 2007 naked model, just love it :)
The journalistic pinnacle that is men and motors.
