The last time I was in Prague was back in 2005 when the direct train was running between Aarhus in Denmark and Prague. Very nice train with a great dining car. Back then the main station in Prague looked a little dated. I can see that the station has been renovated since then. In 2005 the historic station were hidden behind heavy black drapes. It was possible to see the beautiful art work by moving them a bit. Glad that they have opened it up for the public
It is also one of the reasons why I love Europe because of many excellent railway trips hope I can visit there in Czech Republic 🇨🇿🇨🇿 someday coming from the Philippines.
I have had quite the journey....just before watching your trip from Prague...another u tuber,on train, went from Ostrava to Prague...thanks guys for the trip around the Czech country side..👍👍
I hope more train companies add Business Class airline seats like that to their first class or premium offers. I agree with you though, these seats are designed for daytime travel, not an overnight marathon.
Are you going to do a review of ČD's Copenhagen to Prague ComfortJet service when it launches next year? (or early 2025, because ČD is not sure about the time of getting vehicle permits and homologation)
TBH … I usually don’t like voiceovers in train reviews but with you … it’s is totally fine. Maybe Cause you have beautiful voice or maybe cause you are danish and i am crazy Czech boy who learns danish language 😅😅 i also have to mention that i never ride a Leo Expeess train 😅😅😅 only ČD, Arriva and RegioJet. And Last year I travelled with Regiojet to Split, Croatia… what a fun 😅😅😅
stadler flirts are some nice trains, but feels a bit funny seeing business class on them, since here in helsinki we use them for your ordinary local trains :)
These are configured as IC units specifically with less doors and higher performance but yes, they are very popular regional trains all over the world. :)
No, that definitely is not the best train in the Czech Republic. We call it the tram :D It is too uncomfortable for long distances and too expensive. I prefer the Pendolino or any other train. You should try other railway companies.
@@Simon-AndersenImo Leo is only the best if you travel in business class. Otherwise it really is a "tram", it swings and vibrates much more than trains that ČD a Regiojet use
@@Simon-Andersen The economy in LE is 2x more expensive then a normal 2 class in ČD or the second best class in Regiojet - Relax. It is overpriced and the worst seatings, i would rather sit in a full kupe in ČD then in LE economy
Appologies to all who traveled with me on this train roughly a month ago. It was too late when I realised, the wet feeling inside my shoes was piss from one of my mom´s stupid cats. I can still smell the awful stench :o

And they are planning to renovate it in the next 4 years or so, there is actually a schematic submitted for it already.

As usual very solid and honest review. And yes, Simon, I would love to watch a video/review on an overnight trip on this train❤
I used Leo express between Olomouc and Prague in business class . One of my best train ride ever!
Its a great train!

I quite like those Leo Express trains. They do look very smart, clean and very comfortable.

Yes once that gets going it's very likely
I didn't sat in these premium class seats yet, but I think the greatest oversight of the them is that they don't turn to face the direction of travel.

I'm glad you enjoyed the video 😃. The RegioJet trip to split sounds great, would love to try that in the future :D

I think Stadler flirts do just about every kind of train service across the world at this point
This older generation of FLIRT didn't had specific intercity version, but there are some tweaks that I believe are unique to Leo Express.
That is very true. Some locals here even call it a black tram.

I took the Pendolino back to Prague, I think I like LEO more, but the standard class on the pendolinos is excellent compared to economy on LEO :-)

Is LEO considered the premium budget rail carrier? Would be interesting to do a video comparing Regio Jet to LEO to any other.
I think so. I haven't taken a RegioJet day train so I can't compare unfortunately
Interesting. Solid, as has been related.
Well, first class seating in Regiojet and České dráhy trains are not bad either.
They are also good! But not quite as good as Leo in my opinion :-)
I have purchased a leo express bus ticket from prague to ostrava. Is it good?
I have never tried their busses
The Leo Express paint job doesn't look good either. Previously the units had golden stripes that looked way classier.

New subscriber your content looks good…👍🏻
Thanks Michael
I am from Czechia. Prauge.

Coooooooool
and who said that this is the best train in the czech republic?
Anybody with eyes and common sense
Good video 👍 (First comment)
I don't like Prague Main Station. It's too dark and cramped. And the floor tiles are nauseating.
Leo express is acctually pretty bad compared to CD
