I'm really excited to see the 2-aspect colour light signals. I do however need 3-aspect signals more. So I will hold out on ordering signals until the 3-aspect signals make an appearance
Great video. I was going to pop down after my nights shift but something came up and couldn't make it. Missed the wagons too. At least the era 3 GWR crowd can't say they're not being catered for now with those Peco signals!
Nice overview Chris. The 66s really do look excellent. Any hint from Peco when their signals are finally going to be released? They seem to be taking their time
It’s a shame that Malcs Models doesn’t offer international shipping, I’d like some of these wagons in Australia but it seems like I’ll have to miss out unfortunately.
@@Aaron-uf3sl if you email them or message them via their facebook page they will ship internationally and agree rates with you. Hi Peachy a couple of questions: 1) if we order Hornby kit through your affiliate link, do we still get the points? 2) do you know if when pre-ordering direct from revolution trains for the TT120 wagons, is payment taken immediately or when the wagons are in stock? thanks 🙂
@@stephendehavilland5254 good questions. 1. Yes you get your points from Hornby when using my links. 2. With Pre-ordering from Revolution, you have 2 options, pay the 50% upfront (remainder at release/delivery) or you can pay the full amount. As they are a small UK company, they need all the support they can muster. This will help with the rest of their planned roll out of future models coming to market as soon as possible. 👍 If everyone of my subscribers just picked one model & payed 50% (approx £22.50) it would be a huge boost for them.
My first thought on the Class 66 closeup was "oh, are ESU trying to enter the British market with their incredible HO scale 66s?" 🥸 Stupid me: of course, this is a Hornby production sample, and i am glad I've pre-ordered them. Just can't wait to have them on my layout. And as for the Ealnos wagons series announced by Revolution trains, the whole VTG series has been pre-ordered and fully paid in advance. These are the ones that are in use even on continental railways, so I'm looking forward to use them on our German themed TT club layout and (hopefully) get other modellers interested in these.
@@RodericCeorlred superb 👌. Recently, I’ve noticed an uplift in mainland European subscribers, particularly German, so you may not be alone for very long! 😁
The Class 66 also runs in Germany. My first encounter with it was in Weichering (Bavaria) more than 10 years ago. When I picked up my TT models from the local model railway shop, I heard an unmistakable characteristic rumbling near the station. Out of curiosity, I crept through the bushes to the tracks. And there it stood before me, impressively. An imposing, elongated beauty, freshly painted in the GBRf colors of dark green and yellow. Since that day, I have dreamed of being able to drive a Class 66 on my TT layout. And this autumn my dream will come true🤩.
@@Ilmson Class 66s and 77s are still running on the Mühldorfer Stern lines in Bavaria today, as well as on many main lines here in Germany. Some goods train operators use their 66s on services to and from the Ruhr area, where some routes are nor through-electrified to this day. And from mid-July this year on, some goods trains will be diverted onto the non-electrified Alsenzbahn from Bingen to Kaiserslautern due to track works. Operators have announced Class 232, 66, and 77 as haulers for these trains.
Very good, indeed. The detail on the TT120 kit is amazing! Nice to see Richard there and, shh! Not a word about Bachmann! Cheers Peachy!
