Excellent review and video. I bought three of the S30V black tanto blade version when it became available several months ago, and love the knife. It's been my EDC ever since, have no complaints. Thanks for sharing brother!
YES.....beauty of an opening flourish, brother! I especially love the tanto blade shape. Such a great EDC blade for making shallow incisions, but it also has that strong reinforced tip that's so practical. More tanto love please....how about that Cold Steel Master Tanto?
Ooooh yes that is a sweet blade tight there! No one does an American Tanto better than Cold Steel CRKT makes a really nice Japanese Tanto with the James Williams line of knives
I EDC a pm2 with the regular blade in s45vn, would love a tanto version, but it's always sold out. So hard to get your hands on spyderco's limited runs
@@tacticaltavern I do like a tanto for a work knife. The secondary edge is good for light scraping, and the geometry is usually sturdier and holds up well under hard use. Thank you, hopefully I can get my hands on one soon. Then I just need to learn how to deploy it like you do in the intro 😆
CJ, The M4 steel has been working very well for me and I can certainly tell a difference from the durability of the S30v! It’s also super easy to maintain with just a few strops - comes right back to an insanely sharp edge!
That was a sick opening! Liked how you spun it
Thank you very much!!

Happy to hear! Thanks for watching 👊🏼🔪 Do you have any plans to mod them?
@@tacticaltavern, not at this time, all three knives are also my duty knives so want to keep it black and discreet as possible.
@@dn2610 I like your style!
Happy Thanksgiving 🔪🦃
@@tacticaltavern, Happy Thanksgiving to you brother! Keep the excellent videos coming! 👍
Awesome tanto blade in a super tough m4 and unreal knife wielding skills. Come for the blades, stay for the skillz!
Aye! Thanks for watching! Much appreciated 👊🏼🔪

Casey Lynch makes great clips and the owner is super cool! The doberman and axe. Mxg are great as well.
I will check those out!! I have one MXG clip and its SOLID!!
@@tacticaltavern I think you'll get along well with Casey Lynch. He also makes amazing pry bars
How did u do that? On the first few seconds of the vid... Hope u have tutorials with slowmo. Solid knife skills sir!
I got lucky don’t try at home 😂

The Tanto is very utilitarian for me!
I love the extra sharp edge it provides
Good luck in your search!

How do you like the M4 steel so far? It looks well maintained!

Tantos are fun to look at, but I prefer the performance of the Wharncliffe PM2, (Cutlery Shoppe exclusive).
Aw man that one looks outstanding with the orange handles? Cts XHP??
@@tacticaltavern Yep. I’ve got two CS Wharnie PM2’s. One is DLC XHP with orange G-10 scales, and the other is DLC S30V with black G-10 scales.
Too expensive. Just get a Cold Steel Pro Lite and you can save some cash to buy pizza
I love pizza - great idea 😂🙌🏽
