Usually when a VFD sits on the shelf for a long time it has to be powered on with small voltage increases over 30 to 60 minutes from a three-phase variable AC power supply to recharge the electrolytic capacitors. I have a 50hp movidrive that sat on the shelf for 8-10 years. I brought it to life with no issues. Its in use now...
