If you like Greg's style of story telling, Buy his books, They have a lot of information and enough stories and humor to make them pretty darn good read.
Greg, you are one smrt cookie. You learned how to leverage other peoples assets to build your buisness and your wealth. People should listen to guys like you who have been to the school of hard knocks.
I'm a farm girl stuck in the burbs for the next few years, learning as much as I can while I wait. Thanks for these videos, man, they are helping me make all sorts of plans.
We have been learning as much as we can from you and others healing the land. Years ago we dropped use of chemicals (we had horses and didn't want them eating toxic grass). Little did we know that it was bad for the soil until about 6 years ago. This year we go from rotational grazing to mob stocking...with dairy goats!! It will be fun!! Already the soils are healthier. Goats are browsers, so we encourage meadow like pastures. We "rolled" our oldest pasture last growing season. Now looking forward to the growth this spring! And this is the first winter we have been able to graze all winter!! You have me walking out in the pasture and pulling back the "armor" to see if I can find worm castings, etc. Dung beetles are returning!! SO COOL!!
I bought a farm a couple years ago and the first thing I did was buy a tractor because I thought that's what farmers do; I never used it. Watched Greg's videos, sold the tractor and bought more cattle. I haven't needed the tractor since 👍 thanks Greg!
Just stumbled across your Channel and it fits like a glove. I am 72 and retired, but I have a young friend, who is 21 and a new dad and this is right up his alley. He is already traveling your path and has some stock and some leased land, I believe. I am going to subscribe to your channel in hopes I can glean information to help him. Thanks
After being away from agriculture for 6 years, I will be back in the business this spring because of your motivation. Just signed my first lease (for free) and bought some lambs. Thanks Greg!
Jack that is great news, man you are on top of it!!! Great job on getting that free lease. You need to treat it like you own it, make it a show place. You may have that free lease for your life! You have the perfect animal to help you build that farm into a beautiful farm.
My son Scott came in from the farm today telling us he sits out watching what the cows are doing. I told him he was enjoying farm life way too much it is supposed to be all hard work like his friends say! LOL!
Yeah, Greg, I agree. Sometimes the paperwork and learning the regs intimidates some folks out of it. I gotta say, I *don't* think I can do what you do ... at least not where I am, but I *can* apply your methods on a different scale where I am. And for that I am eternally grateful to you for finally deciding to pub videos.
Wow we currently are renting a house on 20 acres 90% wooded in NE OK, but we could probably get permission to get it cleared and...hmmm. Ok just subscribed😁
you are an inspiring man, i am learning a lot because your vìdeos. i own 550 hectares of no profitable orange plantation. as soon as i can will put some cattle on it. cannot stop dreaming it! thanks mr. Judy.
Ive watch 30 to 40 of your videos Im not a subscribe type of guy however today I hit the button. this is great video. Im struggling and own my on land so this was a kick in the butt
That was a powerful story Greg. "Heck, you don't even own a tractor!" So many new farmers make the mistake of buying a tractor, because it's ingrained within us that a farmer needs a tractor.
Mr.Judy many more blessings to you and your family....... I know an animal knows a good person your cow just proved that, lol....that was perfect. God bless
Stephen, stay focused and approach it like climbing a ladder, one step at a time. Each day, do something to strengthen your knowledge. It may be reading a good grazing book, attending field day, working weekends for a rancher, driving your neighborhood looking for small idle tracts, etc. At the end of the month, you are closer to achieving your dream.
well heck GREG they already tell me that! i just keep still and when they are done i just turn around and walk off and leave them standing there!! great video!!!!
Greg it is good to see that your videos are monetized now and hope you get rich off these videos alone! You put out more useful information than anyone. Thank you.
...dairy farmers are high on self actuating car wash type body brushes to remove winter hair, dirt and poop etc in the belief it makes the cattle happier and more productive
This is definitely the best of your posts, by my rating, owing to its timely impact of its contents on my current endeavor in animal husbandry. Thanks so much Greg!
Well the showMe farmer well you know the rest. Great story.. We have 70acres in Laclede county we work in ND would luv to find someone to do that for our property till we come home. So the land is being managed while we aren’t there.
It really depends on your environment, down here in the southwest it dry (80 acres per head) but I like to listen and ill still take something from this video.
How did you go from needing a job in town to pay for your bills to not only the cows paying your bills but also growing the business. What did that process look like. Did you grow the business first then use it as income after it was to a size that was sustainable?
Been a long time watcher, great information. I’m at a crossroads with my operation. I have land and have been building perimeter fence like crazy. I still have about 100 ac that needs fence to fence. Material costs are through the roof now and I am not sure of spending those $. I use high tensile net with wood braces and steel t-posts with additional wood posts every 100 ft. Cost of wire and t-posts have more than doubled in the past 3 years. I do use poly wire to manage inside paddocks. Any thoughts or suggestions on cost to fence the rest of my place so I can grow my operation?
Ok after this video I'm sold on the idea. Where do I start? I'm in Christian County Missouri. Lots of people say it's not possible down here but I see lots of farms for sale or people selling property. Are those my target farms? Where do I start? Walk me through it.
I haven’t even started yet. But I know what you mean by people will think your crazy. My brother got into a fight with me trying to tell me that cattle won’t eat grass, well only a certain kind of grass and in Michigan I can’t grow that kind. Huh. Try telling someone from Texas that we don’t have good grass here. Funny thing is, his old horse pasture has the greenest grass all the way to the first snow. You can tell where all the manure had been.
Thanks for your great information. I'm relocating to NC and am interested in ranching cattle (cows) for a living. Could you share a few basic points on what will be required to be able to realistically do this as a full time job in beef cattle only? Number of cattle, acres, sales per year needed, etc. To earn a living must I sell at auction live only? or need to incorporate dressed cattle as I think you diversify and do? (more profitable per cattle?) This is all I want in my heart for so many of the right reasons. Please help me.
I would unroll some big round bales on it this winter and feed livestock on it by rotating them across the corn stalks. You need to get some biology going in that dead cropped soil. Cow pats and urine patches will certainly help.
If you're not making mistakes, you're not trying hard enough.
Greg judy is the agricultural version of dave ramsey.
This comment made me smile, clever idea
Except Greg is still small enough that he can say things that are true. Dave has to " polish" what he says.
I like Greg a looot more but i see what you’re saying lol
I love it!😆
👍
Hoping to finalize my first lease this weekend on 38 acres here in southern Illinois. Great info Greg .

You are a true inspiration to the young folks Greg! Keep up the good work. And we love your pet cow......……….lol.

Your welcome!! Keep learning all you can.

That cow in the beginning coming near you, amazing!!!!
Exactly, she's smelling him and remembering him and storing his smell for later. "This man is part of my pack"
Honestly, my eyes are watering. I know where to go from where I'm at now. Thanks Greg, for this inspiration. Custom graze.

I just so admire your encouragement to all. Thank you Greg.🐄
When people tell you you are nuts and stupid your on the right track! This philosophical approach is good advise for what ever your dream is.
Clutch Cargo my point exactly
What you say makes so much Sense!
Moving truck coming tomorrow. Hasn't been easy but we keep moving forward. Hopefully in 8 weeks we close on our small farm. We love your videos.
Best of luck on your farm.
Congrats on the new farm!
Thank you! We been on the farm almost 2 months. House is cleaned up and we are about to start the fence.
We have a very important rule on my farm - before any major decision, consider: What Would Greg Do?
My son Scott came in from the farm today telling us he sits out watching what the cows are doing. I told him he was enjoying farm life way too much it is supposed to be all hard work like his friends say! LOL!

Those cows are enjoying your company too.
Awesome vid, Greg. I love seeing how curious and gentle your cows are :)
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and life with us on a regular basis. My God continue to bless you and your family for what you do each day🙂

I needed this motivational video. Watching this again
Thank you Greg for your videos. Your positive attitude gives me hope that I can do this too. I learn so much from you.

Thanks, I needed to hear that today! No shortage of neighbors flapping their gums around here neither. Sheesh. Stay focused!❤️
Hi you are Wright in all your saying I have been trying to do something like this thanks Martin 🇬🇧🚜🍻
Greg, can you do a video about how you sell your livestock? Do you sell direct to customer?
I loved that jersey cow coming up to you. The others bully her a bit, she being one of only two jerseys, so maybe she was getting a little affection.
...dairy farmers are high on self actuating car wash type body brushes to remove winter hair, dirt and poop etc in the belief it makes the cattle happier and more productive
Amen, your so inspirational! Love it

I swear Greg didn’t say buckin when he said I grazed other people’s buckin’ horses! 🤣
Good advice Greg.
Thanks for the encouragement to persevere and go easier on myself when mistakes are made!
Greg thank you for the heart felt story and the motivation. Your tips are invaluable and I can't wait to put them to good practice.
Thanks so much Greg! Planning to get some sheep some and will be implemented your methods!
Thanks so much, Greg! We needed this encouragement this morning. I'd really like to get to one of your grazing schools next year.

Cows are sweet and they taste good too.
Great information Sir thank you for being honest 🇺🇸🇺🇸
🐄 moo that 👍 < thumb, and keep the cows 🐮 happy.
Please tell more about that bucking horses experience! How do they behave?
It really depends on your environment, down here in the southwest it dry (80 acres per head) but I like to listen and ill still take something from this video.
First comment! Enjoy your videos Greg! Learning lots from your videos as we hope to get some cattle and/or sheep in the next year or two.
Greg you should record your grazing school and sell copies for $15-$20. I want to come but don't know if it's feasible haha.
Pure wisdom 👌👌
Bucking good video!
I want a mob of my own! Great content as usual!
You can do this! Stay focused!

You need to read my book No Risk Ranching. It tells every single step I took.
Thanks so much for the inspiration! I'm learning so much from you and I'm excited to start implementing it. Great stuff and keep it coming!
Good day!

God Bless you Greg for sharing your knowledge. I have a question, is it possible to out winter cattle in a wet region?
Hold on to the dream. Take heed.

Take that negative comment, use it as fuel and make something out of it. Best advice I ever got!
I like it, i'm on the way to reach that point.
I have 10acres that was in corn last year and want to turn it into pasture. What would be your recommendations?
I would unroll some big round bales on it this winter and feed livestock on it by rotating them across the corn stalks. You need to get some biology going in that dead cropped soil. Cow pats and urine patches will certainly help.
What are your yearly expenses besides leasing?
Atv fuel, mineral, some hay for ice and snow storms.
I like your style !
Where to look for cattle to get someone pay you to run on your land? Thank you
Salebarn owners are a good source.
I guess we forget that people were farming for thousands of years before the tractor was invented.
this is very inspirational. i appreciate your time and experience. what is your vaccination protocol and how do you go about administering those.
The cow wants to be a TH-cam star!
Can a horse get sick from cattle sheep or goat worms if followed a couple of days or herded together
Nice job 👍
