I feel like a totally different person since first watching you when my life felt in shambles almost 40 days ago, when I woke up upside down on my bed, hanging halfway off of it, hungover from a Saturday night of bad eating and drinking. I felt disgusted with myself, fake friends, distractions from constant social media, and overall disappointed with the direction my life was going physically, spiritually and emotionally. I had a moment of clarity that morning, and haven’t looked back ever since. I knew that, in order for me to truly change course, I had to take a radical approach. I had a moment of clarity that morning, and I made a hard reset in my life. I remembered in the Bible that there were 3 men recorded in the Bible who took radical approaches with a fast of 40 days and 40 nights. They were Elijah, Moses and Jesus. Consequently, it was Elijah and Moses who appeared in front of the disciples when Jesus was transfigured and spoke with Him, if my memory serves. I began my physical, spiritual and emotional journey alone that day with a water fast of 40 days and 40 nights. I’m on day 37 this morning and have lost 45lbs so far, with no loose skin, maintaining my muscle, and have my normal energy to accomplish my daily tasks. Aside from the fat loss, I no longer have the desire to drink at all, and my mental sharpness has increased tenfold. I have replaced social media, and have began learning new skills via videos on TH-cam, which has led to learn about free courses given by the top universities in the country such as Harvard University via edX. I’ve even started learning new languages. There is a wealth of knowledge out there available at our fingertips to improve our lives, but you have to get rid of the distractions around you to hear and see what’s plainly in front of you. Just how you have to clear the distractions in and around you to see what opportunities and blessings God has plainly in front of you. I fully intend to finish this 40-day journey, and it is really not the end at all, but is merely the beginning of a new direction in my life overall. I hope this can reach someone who needs encouragement, and the motivation to step out of the ordinary into the extraordinary.

Take a notebook. And a pen. If it's anxiety, write a 3 - 5 minute bullet list of all the places your mind is wondering or you don't want to forget. If it's ideas to better your life or others, write those down, too. Just jotting. Write down where your mind wanders. Then tell you're brain it's time to prioritize. Like actually say out loud, "Ok, Brain, here's the brainstorm. It's out. Now what would you be ready to tackle 1st?" Pray, and ask God which anxieties or ideas He wants you to develop 1st right now, or what the best use of this time could be. Then put down the pen but keep it near. Close your eyes and take some deep breaths, and just listen, or meditate on The Word... If you make this a habit, you'll begin to hear answers stirring and if you pay attention to those and follow His advice, those intuitions will get stronger and clearer. The ideas will flourish in your mind. Keep writing them down. Then use those lists to keep yourself accountable to your future or the future you envision for yourself. Try the vision board course of you haven't already. For real. I thought it'd be cheezy or lame or too new age like "manifesting" from demonic sources or whatever - until I tried it! Now I have a business, my daughter has been to Disneyland (which was held lifelong dream), my husband has his homestead (another dream he is developing) and we are working on developing other business ideas. I don't just have a daily, weekly, or annual goal now. I have a 5 year plan and a 20 year aspiration. On a calendar I had to create. You know what? I'm worth it. And so are you. That pipe dream that may take us 20 years - that goal is worth developing for my family's sake. A few years since I started, we are almost halfway and have already relocated across the country to settle closer to the end goal. Like 4 years into the 20 year goal we hare physically a little more than 1/2 way. I'm not counting my proverbial chickens - but it is coming about much faster than I could have dreamed or imagined so far. Don't knock it 'till you try it. Give it your best shot, anyway.
@@GodSoLoved.Yeshua you miss the parts I advised to pray and "meditate on The Word' (the Bible). Where I suggested asking Him what the best use of this time might be? One of the ways I personally do this, though I didn't mention it previously is keeping one of those coloring Bibles nearby with a small marker case. Coloring the Word helps my mind slow down enough to take it in fully or memorize verses. God has dealt with some of my more subtle sins this way, gratefully. You can also ask: "God, where am I falling short of your needs from me? Please help me find support from churchgoers or friends to keep on the path You provide for me. Put people in my life to kindly and graciously keep me accountable to my desire to complete the assignments you have for me here. How can I best help others better understand Jesus or the sacrifice of Christ?" Currently writing projects that follow some volunteer work I did for suicide prevention - specifically for a younger audience by that guidance J felt was given step by step... Among others... It's a topic that terrifies or disgusts a lot of people but it'sa dark place I have unique experience and position around to bring some light. Besides criticizing strangers on the net for offering helpful suggestions, what assignments are you currently fulfilling by God? I feel genuinely curious. Do the criticisms help your cause? Admonishing me make you feel wiser? It's not a competition. Everyone was gifted with strengths and assignments unique to them. I feel your intention was to point out where may be missing a mark and I appreciate that. Perhaps I wasn't clear the 1st time I communicated. If you give God a lifetime of value, or help Him save some, the rewards we hope for are in Heaven but it's encouraging to feel as lifted and supported by earthly success before we get there. Look at the parable of the landowner who gave his top farm hands an amount of money to guard while he was away. One buried and returned it in full. It was safe. One invested it and returned more... He got the share of the other 2 combined. You may be blessed if your work blesses others. Why not aim for that?
