LAND ROVER DEFENDER EXPEDITION TO ANDORRA PIC NEGRE

- This weekend we went to Andorra following the track "Transpirenaica stage 5", which starts in Bellver de Cerdanya, enters Andorra through the mountains and finishes in Tirvia, but we didn't complete the stage: we decided to visit some places of Andorra, including the iconic mountain Pic negre, where there are always lots of 4WD cars.
Unfortunately one of the tracks that we wanted to do in Andorra has been closed (probably for good), so there goes a nice track to see some lakes and groundhogs... So then we went back home following a track that goes to Saldes (where there are beautiful pools in the rivers to cool off) and arrives in the reservoir of Cercs where we finished the day with a nice meal.

Este fin de semana fuimos a Andorra siguiendo la ruta "Transpirenaica etapa 5", que empieza en Bellver de Cerdanya, entra en el Principado de Andorra y acaba en Tirvia, pero no acabamos la ruta: decidimos quedarnos en Andorra para hacer un poco de turismo, incluyendo el famoso pic Pic Negre, donde siempre hay muchos vehículos 4x4.
Desafortunadamente, una de las rutas que queríamos hacer para ver unos lagos y marmotas la han cerrado, suponemos que para siempre.
Así que, después ya nos fuimos bajando hacia el Berguedà hasta Saldes (donde hay unos ríos con pozas muy bonitas para refrescarse), y llegamos al pantano de Cercs, donde acabamos la salida con una buena comida.

@@agrproductions2106 Hi Albert. Don't change the chain, just get a chainsaw file to suit the chain size, and give it a sharpen, easy peasy. I'm sure you can do it, . . . . I have absolute faith in your ability !!!!! :)), cheers.

Cheers !! You are back - was getting worried for a while. What a great outing - scenery just lovely and the obstacles kept the Landies in good practice. Most enjoyable.
We took it a bit easy this past month... but last weekend we did this great outing to get immersed in the wonderful nature! We also have to take turns to go kayaking in the sea or go to have tapas in a restaurant, as you once said " one doesn't eat out of Land Rovers"! (at least not usually :)

Genial., como siempre. Minutos interminables de planos, buscando siempre la originalidad. Sentimiento off-road y paisajes, que no falte la buena comida, hay que alimentarse bien cuando vas de ruta. :) Quienes hemos probado el espíritu off-road tenemos ese gusanillo metido en el cuerpo y no nos podemos aguantar. ;D Felicidades por el vídeo.

Hi, Here is the link to do the track. It starts in a village called Bellver de Cerdanya, in Catalunya. By the way, there are beautiful lakes called Llacs de la Pera very near the start. It is signposted in the village. You can't miss them. There is a nice area with tables and barbecues. You have to walk 45 minutes to the first lake.

Once you enter Andorra you will see the possibility to go up to the top of PIC NEGRE by car, that is not on the track. You have to leave the track. You can't miss when because you will see a big singpost that says ANDORRA, that is when you have to look for the track to Pic Negre, it's obvious and also there are lots of cars that go there.
The link I have sent you is the complete track, it's lovely. From Andorra it finishes in Catalunya again, in a little village called Tírvia. It's the so called "smugglers track". In the video we didn't finish it (although I'm sure we have it on film in one of our videos). Concerning the lake of Andorra, one has to walk because we saw a barrier. it was in the ski station Grand Valira.

Hola, ¿que toldo es el que lleváis que se ve al final del vídeo? Y... siempre los veo montados en el lado derecho como en las furgos, ¿por que razón lo montasteis en el izquierdo?
Hola, el coche camperizado lleva un toldo AluCab, supongo que lo puso al lado izquierdo porque tiene el "bar" y una mesita plegable en ese lado. Saludos.
