I pay for a cell phone just to watch these rescues of animals. I cry through many of these rescues. It disturbs me greatly there people in this world that abuse and abandon these beautiful dogs & cats. I wish the police would treat these people, the same as they do criminals, because it is criminal t and for the abuse they are subjected to. BLESS YOU for caring.

Thank you for your kindness to all of the animals you come in contact with. Your videos are treasures. What an amazing joy to hand-raise a wild Oystercatcher! I had no idea about them and they are so beautiful.,How cute to see it be found and hatched and hand-fed and then we git to see the daily growth until it was set free. Absolutely precious! I wanted to add to a Parvo story as well. My son, for very complicated reasons, bought a Dalmatian puppy for his girlfriend. Teenage boy, teen girl. She couldn't keep the dog so we did. I also had two Sheltland Sheepdogs previously from Snoopy (the Dal). Snoopy at about 2 months from receiving, was getting sick. Coultn't keep food down, his poops were incredibly overwhelming. I took Snoop to the vet. She pulled a blood test and it came right back as Parvo. He was given medication. My son's girlfriend worked dilligently on Snoop, but we had one more thing to do to protect our other 2 Shelties. Vet said we needed to get bleach. Better that we keep a bottle for laundry. We had to clean all the walls throughout the house, from the baseboards to about another half food up the wall. We had Sweetie and Skateboard get on their hind legs. Once measured we added at leas another half food. All of Snoops siblings (after having been sold out of a box) died from Parvo. With the meds and the bleach clensing on the wall, Snoopy survived. We had Snoop for 3 years. Unfortunately, Snoop had saome kidney problems, stones. I noticed he was hving a problem urinating (wincing, short stream). Vet catheterized him. What I saw in the back was some blood and kidney stones. She was going to operate overnight. Snoop passed at about 3a.m. that morning.

I agree. The whit chow German Shepard which I loved died from parvo, but the dog I named Taco survived. Go figure. Bear was the best puppy. Beautiful, obedient, and loving. Taco was ugly, and constantly barking and my neighbor taught him to jump a fence. We finally gave him to my inlaws, and hee climb their 12 ft fence and get out. He never came back. I just hope he found a good home.

Where I am in Hamilton ON Canada, you can take pets into hospitals and nursing homes. You just have to fill out paperwork asking permission to bring that pet in. I know because I got permission to bring in my husband's cat. For some reason it's harder to get permission for cats but he was good on a leash so maybe that's why I was able to bring him in. Plus all his immunizations were up to date as well. He would have been a good therapy cat. He was very chill.

the backyard breeding reminds me of a client who came to get their dog groomed by us. 3 Dogs, poor thinsg were matted so bad and they didnt want us to shave them at all, they were siblings, and one wasnt even 1 year old yet, and they had been trying to breed them. I wish there was more restrictions and punishment in place for backyard breeding like that, its horrible

The fact that RSPCA took the time to respond to a homeless person’s dog with a non life threatening abscess and then transported, treated and returned the dog in a timely manner is a testament to how much the USA needs to improve. Had anyone called about this exact situation in the US, not only would no one respond, or care for the dog but they would most likely been laughed at for even believing they would care.
And the fact that they took the two dogs that were well cared for other than heavy handed and abusive scolding…here they would have needed to be nearly dead before entertaining taking action. …and they would have taken just the one that had documented abuse.
I lived in the UK for a few years and witnessed the same for their elderly humans. They truly look after their people.
The United States boasts as the greatest country in the world but I beg to differ. Are there countries worse than the USA? Of course but they are not wealthy first world countries with the resources to make a difference and don’t bragging about being the best. We have so much more to improve on before we can say that as truth. Be better, do better.

I knew a couple that raised English bulldogs and sold the puppies. They absolutely pampered those dogs. Leon built a massive 12" x 12" airconditioned doghouse for them in the backyard but both the dogs stayed inside the home with their owners most of the time. They sold the puppies but it wasn't for the money, they wanted others to be able to own that breed of dog with that pedigree.

So glad shows and TT are spreading more red flag awareness on BYB and puppymills. If you choose to go the breeder route educate yourself on red flags and know that no ethical breeder will sell you two puppies from the same litter or sell you a puppy if you have a young dog already. Littermate syndrome is a real thing and is damaging to dogs!
Research the breeder, ask breed specific groups, ask what titles the dog has (either conformation or breed specific proving titles or both), ask to see all of the health testing and verify on websites like OFA, make sure there is a contract that states the dog can be taken back at any time for any reason if the owner cannot keep the dog. If there are previous litters see if you can see how those dogs are doing. Its tedious but it is worth it. An ethical breeder will never let you choose the dog. You tell them what your lifestyle and interests with the dog are and they will choose a puppy that suits your lifestyle best. This is to ensure you and the dog get set up for success.
Anyone who advertises "rare/exotic" colors RED FLAG! Many out of standard coats are brought out and also come with health problems. DO YOUR RESEARCH! Breeding for looks alone is BYBing. BYB and Puppymillers also charge HIGH prices for a puppy. $4k+ is most likely puppymill prices. the only time you should spend several thousand dollars is if the dog has baseline or full training. But never pay for exotic or rare coat colors. Ethical breeders prices can vary but can be from 1K-3k.

💯💯💯 Yes, exactly!! They even speak of PARVO being treated in this video not too long after, iirc(?) -- or, at least, of a dog surviving with it. It just seems a bit too extreme to put those poor puppies "to sleep", if they had a chance to live good, healthy, happy lives (esp with an owner who was eager to help and care for them -- unlike the backyard breeder 😒).

OMG the puppy cages outside were horrifying!
They would keep puppies in there in dirty, wet & cold cages with sharp lids from the dog tins laying around all over?!
    I just can't believe it.
I rescued, birds, bees, nursed rejected mice babies... before.
    I really couldn't hurt a fly.
& I would do anything for my dog.
    & before anyone makes excuses,
a tough life isn't an excuse. I didn't grow up all sunshine & rainbows. On the contrary &
when we see how well the dogs of homeless people are cared for, the proof is in the pudding.
Also, when someone buys a dog, they should check out where they are coming from.
They might save money with a backyard breeder but will spend it at the vets later.

Vi faccio notare che a min. 1.36.34 il veterinario non ha fatto indossare gli occhiali anti-laser al cane, una pratica comune nelle cliniche veterinarie. Come mai? Troppo costoso per gli animali che non pagano?

There are puppy traffickers and there are normal people who breed dogs. Don't get them confused or you will be sending innocent people to jail.
