One of my favorite bourbons. It’s pricey for the bottle but with so many options this stuff is delicious. The bottle I got is so good. It’s not like turkey , trace, or hill which in my opinion raises its value a lot. I give a 9.4 this does not include how bad the price is. Russell reserve is a 9.5 in my opinion and half the price..... I’m a big fan of this stuff though. Probably currently favorite bottle I own. I’m also been only doing bourbon for about 1-2 years now. Great review love your guys channel!!!!
We just visited there and we got to taste the fresh mash. It is ON POINT! Tasted like the sweetest cornbread ever. It definitely explains the richness of the bourbon.
This is my absolute favorite bourbon of those I can "sometimes" find if I leave New Hampshire to find it. We went to the distillery the weekend they had just started selling it (ever) in June of '19 and they sold everything they had...so much so they had to call their distributers to get some back so they could serve it at their tasting bar. They had none to sell and we found none in KY anywhere. I ran across a couple of bottles in Dallas and another one in NY...I'll pay pretty much whatever they cost whenever I find them. Yeah, they are also purty! :-)
I picked up the same batch directly from the Peerless distillery earlier this year so I poured myself a glass while watching the video. Thanks for the content!
Drinking this with you as I watch. All I think when I smell and drink this is “Peanut Butter Jelly Time, Peanut Butter Jelly Time.” Peanut, strawberry preserves, on a grainy bread. Can’t escape it and I like it more the longer it hangs out on the shelf. It’s so rich too.
Just got 4 bottles of this In up state ny shop said had to buy 500 bottles they were selling for 39.99 and proof was 112.2 proof. It was outstanding went back next day bought 3 more bottles
Great review. Always enjoy your banter and keen insight. Tried this last night at a bar for the first time. Loved it! Got a bottle today. Yes, it’s pricier than most but worth it for a top 5 bourbon in my collection. In my estimation the cost should not influence the rating. That’s an independent variable to consider. Cheers!
I did not enjoy this when first opened, after a couple months it really changed. Now its average and will still sit in the back of my cabinet because a how nice the bottle is.
I got my Peerless bourbon for $30.99 because in the store it was unmarked on the shelf and wasn't in their computer system. The manager decided to just guess and I decided not to correct her.
Nice. Similar thing happened to me with Makers Cask Strength, looked like a new hire couldn’t find it when scanning it, so she looked up Makers & clicked on the standard one, so I got it for $29.99 instead of $54.99 loll
Reminds me of Weller 107 just got a bottle from total wine for $65 in Dallas. Is good don’t know if I’d buy it again but like Dan said I have one now so I’m good.
I've only tried (and bought) their Double-Oaked offering, which is good, but very intense/brown-sugared tasting. I often see the regular bourbon bottle on the shelf, and have always been tempted to try it, but it's so pricey.
I was able to get a couple bottles in the $60's here in Colorado. I'm about out of my 1st and wouldn't think I was drinking a 4 year old. I also have the 110 proof.
I have an opportunity to grab one of these as well as a Belle Meade reserve. Which of the two would you choose if you were trying to stay within in your February Bourbon budget?
@@BourbonJunkies Pretty sure I scored a deal on a bottleshop/restaurant trying to move A LOT of inventory during this pandemic. TW here has non-sp for $130...

Just grabbed a bottle of this while visiting Kentucky peerless and it’s up there as one of my favorites now. Delicious
Chattanooga whiskey is crushing the craft whiskey game right now. Not sure who is close
I've only paid $80 for it once and that was at the initial release at the distillery. Since then I've found it easily in the high $50s and low $60s.
Good timing, just picked up a bottle a few days ago that I am popping with some buddies for the draft Thursday!

With the cliffhanger. Cheers!
B roll game is evolving
After watching the cigar review and now this, I gotta get myself a bottle!

Just got a bottle of this on sale for $39.99. Usually about $65 where I live in upstate NY.
I have a single barrel pick from the NC Bourbon Society that may be the best whiskey I’ve tried in 2020

Interesting
It goes for like 63-65 here so it’s killer for that price point I feel
Bought it for 62.99 at Sams...We like it...
I find this often in texas. Never bought it. I might pick it up now

You said rye toast and now I want a Reuben hahaha
$39 currently at my store grabbed one.
Snagged one for $60 today
😀... YAY!!!
I just can't pull the trigger on a $90 bottle of four year whiskey.
One of the best 4 years in the game.

It's not very good. No one in my bourbon group liked it. Buy a bottle of Ealge Rare and Russell's single Barrel for the same price.
You guys like new riff single? One of my favs....
Hit or miss for us. Overall not one we pick up a lot.
Ok....
Months later...
I am watching/listen to this and....lol
IAM the guy that gets the Hot Nutz joke!!!
Deep fryer love🥜🥜🥜
Hell ya bud
Total Wine has dropped the price in 2023 to $64 ish instead of $80 so it’s definitely more tolerable purchase now.
This is one that I just wasn't a fan of. It didn't help that I had a Russell Reserve store pick right next to it when comparing.
Best craft right now is OCD #5 from Glenn’s creek distilling IMHO
Behind the scenes hopefully has the outcome of that bottle flip.
Mayyyybe
Oh man the poor bourbon market 😭
Left me hanging!
Lol gotta have patreon footage

Probably the Peerless, side benefit it's an amazing cigar whiskey too
@@BourbonJunkies awesome thank you so much I have some monte cristos to enjoy it with. I’m heading there in an hour
Always great vids. Looks like an acute GERD attack at 3:40, or ... maybe he ate hot nuts too quickly! Question. Is that bottle still intact?
It all is still alive
Costco has this for $65 and I think it’s worth it all day
What state you in?
Hot nutz....lol one guy
Peerless by me is 119.00 this is the price for bourbon haven't seen the rye yet.
That the rye or bourbon?
It was the bourbon
What's the grade if you can get it for $65?
A
