Make video of The story started many years ago during the Second World War when a young Czechoslovak man called František decided to fight for the freedom of his country. He had to escape when the German Army invaded Czechoslovakia and was wandering through many countries before coming to England. František joined the army and also found his love and married his beloved woman. The War continued and he set out on a war journey leaving his pregnant wife. He never came back being killed in a foreign country, so close to his fatherland and so far from his wife, Four months later she bore a son giving him his father's name and she had to look after him alone. Soon the War finished and they went to Czechoslovakia but when the Communists took over the country it was too dangerous for them to stay there so they had to retum to England. The wife sometimes visited her husband's family but it was forbidden for František who had Czech nationality. He grew up thinking about his father and the place where he stayed for always. As a small boy he got a map of the place drawn by his father's friend who had buried him. In the foreign country, in a small village people remembered the War and the dead soldiers who brought freedom for them. Especially a young boy remembered the different uniform and hat. After years he had three daughters and told them war stories. Fortunately for František he still lived in the same village, Many years passed and the Communists in Central Europe lost their power and the countries got freedom. It was a hope for František who could start his searching for his father. It was not easy, he knew only English so he needed translators. But also after so many years things had changed-the place on the map was completely different. No longer was there a river but a deep and big lake. Sometimes he thought that he was so close to the place but coming back to England he felt that again he had made a mistake and he had to go back. His enduring searching finished successfully after three years, he met the Polish farmer who remembered the soldier in the officer's uniform much different from the Russian Army. The family was friendly and promised to look after the Memorial that František erected for his father near the place where he was killed. František was in contact with the farmer's daughter who hardly spoke any English. They exchanged photographs and Christmas cards and František visited the village to see his father's Memorial. Although brought up in two different countries and in quite different situations, having a different life, age difference and speaking two different languages they had the same view for many things, very similar dreams, romantic souls and they both were free. They became friends and the friendship grew, having known each other for ten years they got married. The story which started with War and pain had a happy ending - František junior found his love where his mother lost hers, his father brought him love. I was that farmer's daughter.
