that aint ordinary bruh I'm replying to dude that said they're hiding something.
I get why people say that, but they always had the option of using libraries for a lot more knowledge.
I don't know about books of her. It's nasa. But I tell u what they're hiding. By doing a dramatization they make people think that she wasn't allowed to use the bathroom and that her freaking boss knocked down the sign..
They did this because they're black..except, oh wait, she isn't exactly black, is she?
They wanted to cash in on this.
They are the ones who really don't care.
They could have made a biography like you're supposed to..but I'm sure it wasn't interesting enough in their eyes ^^
And are u aware how many mathematicians there are?
U except their's time to read about all of them in school?
      I know u don't.

For a woman to receive a college degree would have been impressive at that time. But a degree in math/physics would have been ten times harder. For a black woman to do so? Unheard of. And then to work at NASA and calculate the trajectories of the ships? While properly raising a family as a single mother? If there ever was a super woman, she would be it.

I went to the matinee the first day it opened nationwide so there were a lot of women in the theater in their 70's there. They were weeping after seeing the movie. One lady told me that she was told that she could only grow up to be either a teacher or nurse. Great professions but I wish more young women would have known about this in the 60's. I loved the movie and will see it again.

I read the book, then saw the the movie. I'm amazed by this wonderful women (& her other computer co-workers). Not just because she was a black woman, not because of the racial stigma, not because it was a hard time to make money & raise a family, not because she dreamed & went to college, but because she has the one thing I can't have & never will. I'm dylexic. I taught myself to read, but math is just not possible. The numbers jump around, some times they're backward. An adding machine even with a tape just scrambles numbers more. I'm beyond happy & proud of this woman for the gift God gave her. My one hope is to have God let me see the real numbers.

Such an amazing lady! I rarely buy movies, but, the true story of this movie is so profound, I had to buy this one! I was a young girl at this time, and I did not know anything about this. This incredible lady is such a rarity. Such an inspiration, indeed! God Bless her!

Katherine Johnson is amazing. What a true fearless woman. A great mathematician. She reminds me of my mom. My mom sewed all of our clothes, she was a great cook and mother. My mother came to America from Trinidad and Tobago first. She knew no one. A family who she worked for sponsored her. We all came to this country. My parents wanted us to have a better education and life. I appreciate the sacrifice that my mom made. I see what Katherine Johnson's daughter's are saying. Growing up you knew what you had to do and if not there where consequences for it. I was raised in a strict environment as well. My parents were all about learning, being focus and discipline about your school work.
