Quite like seeing all the Christmas decorations and stuff. Kinda weird coz I really don't like Christmas at all, lol. Takes me all the way back to my childhood when I loved anything Santa, that damn nostalgia strikes again 🎅
Great Video, Andy & Amy i took me a while to find your channel again. Such Awesome stuff i go to Antique stores 3 times a year. & i always see something new / ive Never seen Before. that cheap plastic Santa thing at 1948 we had back in the 70's when i Lived in New Jersey. at 24,40 The Beany & Cecil cartoon, that is where AC/DC got the song title " Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap"
I'm am so glad I found this channel, as if the dark rides aren't awesome enough, these antique shop videos are just as fun. Some great vintage stuff in this one, thanks for another banger you two!
I’m with you Andy on the mascots! Love em! I have a few in my collection but afraid to go further into that rabbit hole as I already collect a ton of stuff! But I would love to see a video from you guys on Advertising mascots! I’ll wait on your vid to give my top ten but for now I’ll say my first one is The Jolly Green Giant. Merry Christmas to and Amy!
My top product mascot is the Frito Bandito from 1967 to 1971 [R.I.P.] The commercials were designed by Tex Avery and the Bandito was voiced by Mel Blanc (two early Bugs Bunny alumni). The Frito Bandito was patterned after 'Gold Hat' from the 1948 film "The Treasure of the Sierra Madre" starring Humphrey Bogart.
I think that mug had American Flyer on it. But maybe I was primed for toy trains and railroadiana stuff because there was a Pennsylvania Railroad cup near it.
I think the one Santa you said was a mask that you couldn't see out of is really meant to be placed over a yard light such as on a pole. The smaller cloth zippered Santa I believe is a pajama bag. They used to be a thing. Cheers!

cool spot... thanks for sharing.
No better mascot(s) than the California Raisins. Toys, records, clothes, claymation specials...they did it all. Love them a lot.
Your banter is so comfortable and natural; really enjoy it and you both. Keep up the great job!
Thanks so much for watching and for the kind words! 🙏🧛♀️🧛
AWESOME 👍😎
Merry Christmas from Toronto
Doctor Solar costume is great! Man of the Atom.
Those Wendy and Hot Stuff glasses were too cool. I would have grabbed those in a second.

I think the Santa sack is for clothes pins, or maybe for gift wrapping bows and ribbons

Doctor Solar was an early silver age character from Gold Key Comics.
