I find it enjoyable, but I will agree that the AI can be dumb sometimes. That being said, credit where credit's due to Frontier for releasing patches that, from my experiences at least, do improve the game. Here's hoping that F1 Manager 2023 builds on the foundations that this game has made. Great review regardless!
To be fair, the first version of the Motorsport Manager after release had issues as well, however it still feels more authentic than F1 Manager. But some of the very old F1 manager games still beat them both in authenticity if you don't apply exploits to win (Like the Do or Die qualifying) where your supplier or staff lineup can fuck you over at least short-term through random quality or ability degradation. Neither F1 Manager or Motorsport Manager had that because Motorsport Manager had a guaranteed uphill development path.
I started watching F1 almost an year ago now and while I think that grand prix manager 2 is an excellent game and, in some aspects, better than this one, as a new F1 fan I gravitate towards this game more because it includes the current F1 regulations.
Nice review, spot on really. I feel like there's something of a disconnect with this game. There's no real impact from your decisions and no feed back from the team, just crappy screens to interact with. It needs more interaction and immersion. Why can't we have a chat with the drivers or visit the different departments? Very disappointing overall.
You kind of can just visit your HQ but lots of things missing however fast forward, proper race format and smarter AI pitting during SC is a huge upgrade from Motorsport manager However MM still have many great features that F1 manager 2022 doesn't
I haven't really played too much of it but it's decent enough for a first impression it sorta sucks that older games have more features and depth - but F1 Manager '22 is still decent also do you think you might do a career mode on this game? I'd be interested in that
I'm expecting to win a championship in my current season and I will do a video on that. Then I'm intending to do a video summarising multiple seasons. Maybe 2022-2030. But not a race-by-race series.
The lack of a create-a-team mode is what personally turned me off buying the game. A feature present in Motorsport Manager and in every Codies F1 game since 2020... but not here
True. It's a massive letdown Have to do with managing Williams or Haas then for me but still I hate that you cannot even change teams later and I don't want to be stuck in them
13:25 'Alonso's growth should be declining' I disagree. Its F1 not football and these drivers can race well into their late 40s like they used to in the past. Kimi didn't lose his raw race pace when he retired and the same could be said about others like Massa and Button.
That's a fair point and maybe I was unfairly comparing F1 to football. But was Raikkonen quite as good at the end of his time in F1 as he was in the 2000s? Or was Schumacher as good when at Mercedes as he was before then? To be fair though Alonso is still doing incredibly well now. Even if driver's ratings shouldn't decline due to age, I still think they shouldn't just continue to increase at roughly the same rate forever. In my gamesave by the time Alonso retired (end of the 2027 season) he had gone up from 85 to 92 overall. I doubt Alonso will be better as a 47 year old than he was as a 40 year old.

I love how you can get upgrade plan designs in the game but I don’t like when you get an upgrade the rush always cost too much

They just started, they will obviously add more features for the next installments

hopefully this game motivates playsports to make an sequel of motorsport manager for PC
They were killing it on mobile until the most recent F2P mess. I only wish they had implemented a proper 3d race engine instead of dots

@@PSLRacing that's fine, I wasn't expecting you to do a race-by-race career
hopefully simulating races is added to the game in the future
One of if not the best review available ! Thanks
YES! This is the review I been waiting on!

I am so eager to see your upcoming videos!
The graphic look really good!
What if for one day every season you can sign The Stig who’s 100 rating overall and he’s 7 years old
Waited for this one :D
