I love that the NB is basically an upgraded NA (minus the pop-ups, sadly). It's all that the NA embodies, but more refined, slightly quicker, and a slightly better interior (subjective, tho). Getting the funds to slowly restore my NB to OEM+ and not to ricer-boi style like all other TH-cam builds.

In germany they even cost twice as much (compared to an na). i got a blue nb for 4K with a hardtop from an older guy best Choice as a first car

I am brand spanking new to the car hobby. Am turning 20 in 3 days. And already have a prius c as a dayly driver. Already payed off. Was looking into getting a nb2 as my first manual and a car to branch into the hobby learning maintenance and things. Do you think it would be a good idea to get one?
I got my NB2 when I was 21. Beforehand, I had an SRT4 PT Cruiser since 19, so I had my fair share of fun whacky tuners. Definitely buy one that's in good running order and KEEP IT. Literally everybody that has sold their NAs and NBs have regret selling theirs, and it's a great car that won't easily break the speed limit for youngsters.
for me the NB isnt just the same price as the NA, its way cheaper
I also love nb miatas. I like the body lines and overall aesthetic more than any other gen tbh lol.

6:55 about aftermarket support, the NB technically has more aftermarket support.
This is because a common mod to do on an NA is to swap the NB motor and drivetrain in 😅 Here in Australia, there’s a lot of NAs that are running the later VVT 1.8 and 6 speed box from the facelifted NBs.
Because of this I also think NBs will be more valuable in 5-10 years, because of how much of them have been sacrificed to make NAs run.

NB Miata Good, Bad and Ugly:
Good: Reliability in the dictionary has a Miata picture next to it.
Bad: Auto transmission is there as an option.
Ugly: Slow and hard to make great power without swapping it OEM engine.

There’s actually cup holders it’s in the center console it’s like 1 but the u flip a black piece over & it turns into two but only good enough to hold a water bottle or something slightly wider by 1cm

i have a 03 Shinsnen NB here inn Japan. love this car. Also the drift and togue scene here is super different from the US. Theres so may here i the mountains and all are chill people.
I just bought a 2002 mx5 special addition soft top although I do have complaints the things I like about it totally overwhelm the bad imo
the autos are a lot cheaper if thats a concern for you, still a hell of a lot of fun

9:40 my NB has built in cup holders in the centre console, it is a 2003. But mine is an automatic does that make a difference?
My 2000 NB has a center console cup holder. It’s a manual
