Are they not feeding on the lack of scriptural understanding from what seems like a mass of followers who glorify them more than our mighty God. Why am I saying this? Because the same Spirit that raised Jesus lives in you and I. In days past there were prophets who were a conduit between the Israelites and God. The Holy Spirit only come and rested on them and kings of Israel. Further the spirit would leave them and leave them in despair if they did not please God. Your see how David prayed to God to not take His Spirit away in Psalms. (Psa 51:11) However, we are now in a unique position in this period of grace in that we are sealed with the Holy Spirit. (Eph 1:13) There is now no separation of Jew or Gentile. (Eph 2:14-18) In v15 ask yourself what is the new man created? Yes, the new man that is now a part of Christ. Flesh of His flesh and bone of His bone. (Eph 5:30) This was revealed first to the Apostle Paul and was a mystery hidden from the beginning and revealed to man at the correct time in God's manifold wisdom. (Eph 3:1-13) So now do you see how there is no need for so called prophets in this amazing age we live in. We have God in us as receivers of the promise and we now have every blessing spiritually. (Eph 1:3-6) Yes, we have every spiritual blessing so why do we need a prophet? The answer is we do not need a prophet as we have the spirit of God in us just like every other true believer in Christ. A more detailed teaching of this can be found in the book of Romans. Just open your Bible and seek the truth and you shall find it and be set free from the bondage of these wolves.
