    Acousticsamples knocked it out of the park with this library!

    Great video Ruben, I have been hearing quite a few demos using these semi-modelled instruments and they are some of the best saxophones I have heard

    Wow! Extremely helpful review, as always, Ruben! And I'm thrilled that there's finally a great solo sax plug-in!

    That was a great review and demonstration. I’ve bought it recently but learnt a lot from this video. Thanks!

    Ruben, thanks for the detailed video, especially the ensemble portion (at least for me). I just picked up the Vhorns Saxophones and Brass Section to create ensemble horn parts. I'll play/record the solo work live on my sax.

    Straight ahead, acoustic samples saxophones and trumpets to me are most realistic. I have audiomodeling to, but they are to sterile. To have some imperfections in samples makes music more human :) Thank you for review, noticed few things that didnt find my self :)

    Some people sayin this librarary is limited in expression ability compared to swam. I have already some guitars from acousticsamples and there are very good. And vhorns saxes sounds more real than swams. So are there some articulations not possible to play with vhorns but with swam? I am aware that they both aren't a match for a real sax. But is vhorns somehow handycapped compared to swam?

    Sounds class! I would love to hear the V horns sax together with the V horns brass in your daw... did you try combine both ?

    • @hifimidi
      @hifimidi  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Now that I think about it, it might be possible to mix their brass using multi mode. I’ll try to create a track using both - if I can find the time!

    To make it realistic do we have to use the pitch band on piano ?? To give that feel like you gave in Tenor 2 ??

      thanks, I did not see any mention of it even on website. This is now a very likely purchase for me as I have been looking for a realistic saxophones almost strait out of the box.

      @@attilio7 Yes, you are right, we added that feature after the release, but we just corrected that on the website and also added the fact that each note can now be micro-tuned.

    헉~!!! 엄청난 놈이 나왔네요.
    이건 꼭 사야겠습니다. 현제 SWAM Saxophones 을 잘 사용하고 있지만
    VHorns Saxophones는 또다른 연주 테크닉을 표현 가능해 보입니다.
    영상 정보 감사합니다..^^*

    Thx for this video. Is it not possible to play my own chosen harmonies manually through multi? Will I have to set separate keys for each instrument or may they overlap? In your video you only demonstrate the auto hamony function which is not really for me. Thx in adv.

    • @hifimidi
      @hifimidi  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi,
      I don’t think that’s possible.
      The only ways I can think of playing separate harmonies is by using two midi keyboard and assigning the first keyboard to one port, and the second keyboard to another port and then assigning each saxophone to one of those keyboards.
      The other way is to use an app called Divisimate that automatically splits the voice based on the harmony you play. Hope this helps.

    hey thank you for your review. For you what is better between swam saxophone and vhorns saxophone? I have swam but I prefer the sound of vhorns because it's mor bright. Can us reproduce a similar sound with swam or you advice me to buy Vhorns?

    • @matthewwhitaker4849

      I have SWAM... but after hearing the V Horns, I much prefer V Horns. They sound a lot more real because of the sampling, but since there is modeling involved, you get the best of both worlds. Can't wait to use V Horns in my music.

      @@matthewwhitaker4849 hello thank you for your answar. I recently bought Vhorn and I'm totaly agree with you. I have a preference for alto 1 because it has more breath.

    also, how in the world does it know how long the played note will be, in order to play the correct articulation? sounds crazy

    • @hifimidi
      @hifimidi  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Right? I imagine it's a scripted to trigger staccato when it senses a high initial velocity with a quick release. It happens so quickly that you don't notice. There is sure to be a negligible amount of latency.
