This is an anti-war song. Okinawa lost 1/3 of its population over the battle of Okinawa. The song was originally written by non-okinawan artist, inspired by the local Okinawan's story about her own war experience. It's a musical message from Okinawa not to repeat human sacrifice over war. Make the world a beautiful and peaceful place. 💘

Mya Salwing Shima uta literally translates to "Island song". Shima=Island. Uta=song
