The T53's are glitchy, The sensors on both sides and on the top need to be wiped down every soo often so then the container is registered correctly. I work with these machines all the time. Besides when we go can collecting, we hit all of thee recycle barrels here in Springfield Ma. fill up my whole entire truck up tot he bedrails and then go down to Connecticut to turn um all in. They sell beer in the store down in Ct so for 1 they will take it and it will go right through and 2 we collect all of the water bottles up here in Ma. and then turn um all in since Ct. does Water and Ma. doesn't. Always have to remember NO red stripes on any containers (like Poland Springs) or they won't go through. If you find one without a barcode don't even bother taking it. We collect Beer, Water, Seltzer, and Soda. Cans, Plastic, and Glass. We usually get anywhere between 80- $100.00 worth sometimes close to $125.00 on a real good week. 1 week it's 1 route Wed into Thurs. pick-up then the next week there's 2 Routes, Tues. into Wed and Wed into Thurs. pick-ups so yeah we make out like bandits. We hit the good houses 1st then we go hit the rest of the uses later we start in the evening on one day then go back out very early in the morning for more. Then by usually 7-8 in the morning we're there turning them all in. Yeah me and my brother in law, when we do it, we don't screw around, We mean business when we come to town. Have fun, turning um all in.
Its awesome that you can make money from trash. But the truth is the stores do not want our bottles and the immigrants are making fake labels and filling up the machines. Some stores let them do it too. We need to public recycling centers that take all our bottles and let us recycle all our bottles. All the machines are either broken or full. Many stores do not have the time to accept all our bottles.
Found this video while casually looking for people putting filled cans in there

who owns these machines? and what can you do with the receipt with the money?
I know this comment is 8 years old but
Usually the store that has the machines owns them
You can redeem the receipts for store credit or cash.
