@@TheWeekendAngler great approach to the video in my opinion. I was frustrated and stuck in the process and sometimes you just need that get right to it vid to show you how it’s done right.

Difficult to describe without visual aids, but I have a busted led tail light I'll be replacing sometime this week. I'll take the busted one apart and make a video showing how to check it.
If the lights use a ground wire, which most LED lights do, it needs to ground to the same location as the white grounding wire at the front of the trailer. Most times, this is the trailer frame itself, and as long as the light mounting bolts are going through something metal attached to the trailer, the light mounting stud is a good choice.
i missed how you connected the wiring to the vehicle? i have a trailer plug-in on my truck 2015 f 150 and i get how to wire up to the point where it all connects into my trucks ' electrical system
The kits usually come with a pre-wired 4 pin flat connector. This one did. All you have to do is leave enough at the front of the trailer to reach the tow vehicle. If you have the factory 7 way connector on your truck, your easiest option is to purchase and use a 7 way to 4 flat adapter.
Have you ever had a light go out? Running lights Work on both sides, but the brake light and blinker on driver side is not working, busy sound like a replacement light is needed or do you think it’s a wiring problem?. Just bought this John boat and trailer. He said everything was working, but may be a light went out and he Didn’t know it, what do you think??
If everything is wired to code, big brown wire is the running lights wire. The other wire on the driver side I can't remember if that is green or purple off the top of my head right now, controls brake lights and turn signals. Check and see if you have 12 volts going to that wire whenever you have the turn signal on if you do you have a bad light. If you don't you have a break-in that wire
By far the most detailed and well put together instruction video I’ve found well done and thanks!
Hey, thank you!
Awesome video straight to the point. Wasted time watching other videos, thanks!
straight to the point and no over complicated explaining>?!? sheeesh!
That's the point of these short tip Saturday videos. Cover a fishing or boating related topic in about 5 minutes or so.

What would you reccomend in place of tap splice terminals in areas of the back of the trailer that will be submerged in water?
Thank You for the Quick and Informative Information.
very easy to understand. I hope to apply the instructions soon on my on boat trailer .

Half of the LED left side brake bulbs are out. Right side brake lights all work.

Great vid! Subbed!

If the lights use ground do you attach it to the trailer or the light mounting bolt itself?

Great video! Just curious how did the ground and all of the connections hold up from the water?
They're perfectly fine. The heat shrink butt splice connectors are the way to go! Thanks for watching! Hope it helped you out.
Step one should be open package and throw them scotch lock connectors in the trash.
Yeah, those are pretty much worthless and serve only to let water into your wiring.
Im going wireless....
I am so sick of tinkering with these things. Seems like everytime i turn around these things dont work
Lights still working?
Perfectly
great video horrible welding job on that pore trailer. LOL
Yeah it was welded together by a couple of old farmers. Doesn't look pretty, but it holds.
Excellent how to video! Thank you!
