I miss it too. I like the 2 processes ring spinning and rotor spinning. theres a new process called air jet spining which unfortunately i could only get to know on the internet.
It's all robots now Karen, its more profitable than human beings who can laugh , cry, love , bring up a family, those old spinners and weavers had a heart and a soul and their nimble fingers were like gold, with all the Artificial Intelligence the world has lost its heart and soul.

These machines took out other processes and killed jobs for a inferior product. Old style cotton mills were way better in keeping quality control at a higher level.
But the ring spinning method still exists and is used in thin yarns. The OE is not capable of making extra-thin yarn. Depending on the clothes the yarn will be made of, it doesn't make sense to use ring spinning, if there's a faster method for it. Ring Spinning is only used on top-of-the-line clothing.
