Honestly eBay is where it's at. I have more sales on Poshmark but most of my eBay sales are purchased AT LISTING PRICE! Which we all love. In February I sold a vintage Nike jacket for $175 and a vintage Adidas jacket for $150. LOVEEEE 👏🏼😍

There are a ton of Sorels in ross, marshalls, etc, so it may have to do with the style as far as whether you can sell them quickly or not. I do check comps on all the sorels I find, so I can see if it's saturated or not.

I sold 11 things on Mercari in February, the most expensive was a collector Barbie for $69. I'm really thinking of also selling on Poshmark and eBay but not sure about the fees.
Check with your CPA or whoever does your taxes, if you can still write off part of your utilities, house payment, internet, phone as business expense. My husband had a company and was able to write off 50% as business expenses, which really helps your bottom line. Enjoyed the video.
I get so discouraged sourcing because I live in Arkansas and I want to go to the bins but I live an hour from Little Rock and I am told not to go there because it is not good and I live over 2 hours from Rogers in Northwest Arkansas. But everyone tells me that living in Arkansas that there is no way I could find the deals that others find living in Arkansas with us being such a "poor state" and it wouldnt be worth it. I just dont know where to go to source items to make my closet worth staying in the game. I thought having 7 sales this past weekend for $112 was huge but that was all that I have had since and that was equal to what I have had since I started 2 months ago lol. I just dont know what to do!!!
Restarting your ebay store was the right decision. I think their defect system can be unfair. If a buyer makes a bogus complaint to get free returns, the seller gets a defect and it doesn't take many to affect your rating. Poshmark is much more seller friendly. Although as a buyer on Poshmark, I have been disappointed by a handful of sellers who just never ship the item out. I started on ebay and continue with it because I make more sales than Poshmark, but Poshmark is picking up.
I have a silly question, does stuff that go to the goodwill bins leftovers from what didn’t sell at the goodwill? I wonder because it’s freaking awesome resellers are finding some cool pieces!
What's crazy is that I had to relaunch my eBay store (I was an OG reseller in like 2005ish with kids clothes) I left Poshmark for like 5 years and last year alone I "casually" sold 28k on Mercari alone last year. I hear so many say they dont do well on Mercari. One big reason I'm branching out is mercari seems to not care about sellers if the post office breaks things and in 11 years selling I had a total of 3 damaged packages and the last one was a $260 order and it was very clear that the post office smashed that box and they said it was insufficient packaging so I'm annoyed lol.
So if you sell on poshmark and poshmark va cancels same item you have on eBay ? What if you have watcher on item in eBay? Does that count against you on eBay? So many questions sorry lol
I love watching you and also Lori Tata but I don't care for the fact that you both promote Vendoo without discussing the problems Vendoo has. I signed up under you but it I am realizing they miss so many sales and do not delist every sale. You should be more open and honest about their issues when promoting this vendor.
Don't get me wrong, I use Vendoo but have gone through some definite issues continuously with sales not being detected and also problems with the delist/relist.
yeah I've seen so many people accidentally double sell even with vendoo's auto delist, because they didn't realize they had to keep the browser window open 24/7. I delist everything manually, and I've only double sold items twice- one was only because 2 buyers were checking out at the same exact minute. I just have a committment to never clear any sale notification from my phone until I've gone to all my other platforms and delisted the item. It's really not hard.
Someone bought 6 items from me on Posh. They are unhappy with 2 items and want all their money back. If Posh screws me over I may part ways. I did the opposite from you, I started on ebay
So eBay didn’t have a problem with you closing your store and then opening a new one? It just sounds so easy. Also I don’t think you have to be a top rated seller to do well on eBay. I just started eBay maybe 5 months ago and lost top rated because of a terrible review and yet my sales are better than before. Could be that most buyers don’t pay attention to feedback and ratings. I never used to anyway.
That makes so much sense! If my store hadn’t been “below average” and my sales extremely limited, I would’ve roughed it out. I was paying for a store, but they wouldn’t let me list anything else once I hit that rating. As for eBay caring, it probably isn’t a good idea if you can avoid it! I really did need to change what type of account I had since I became an LLC, so I believe that my closing and reopening could be justified by needing to change how I report income. So here’s hoping it all works out!
I hope so for you. You’re a great worker and seem to be really conscientious so hopefully the new store takes off. I think it will because as much as sellers like to complain it’s a great platform. I couldn’t sell a thing on posh but the same things sell well on eBay. Good luck! Although it’s not really that much luck but more hard work and the sales seem to be attributable to what we put in we get out. :)

I absolutely agree. eBay sales are less frequent however they usually are full price! Plus you don’t have to SHARE THOUSANDS OF TIMES A DAY!!!!!!

Maybe try some shipping insurance not the normal carrier liability offered by the post office. It's super cheap like $2 a pkg

yea vendoo is not worth it for me either. i would rather save every penny and do the work myself

You also have to either keep a laptop open 24/7 while running the program for shares or have a desktop computer that runs constantly.
FLYP is so much better, sure there’s a bit more work involved from you but for 9 bucks a month. Totally worth it!
