I’m a commercial electrician, what you asked about @1:37, that’s E.M.T, conduit, it’s likely leftover raceway for that aluminum wire. Unlike you, I get disappointed when I see aluminum, it’s definitely for the most part easier, because it’s a lot lighter to pull, and easier to bend. But when it comes to the scrapyard, it sucks compared to bare copper, as you already know all to well. Happy New Year, I hope you have a prosperous year ahead, and many more.
In the uk we can’t put fluorescent tubes in general waste. They contain mercury which is what’s in the dust flying around. Saying this we used to break them all the time when we will kids

Will connect to current wifi and extend it out further distance. I use one and it carries out 300 ft in the yard plus through the remainder of the house. About 400 ft I'm guessing. I just put out the old vacuum and box of Christmas lights at the end of the driveway! Hope a scrapper comes through and picks them up! It’s hard in the Chicagoland area especially when there’s snow not as many scrappers out!
If you could post it on face book or Craigslist in free stuff I'm sure someone will get it in time . Or at least leave the lights hanging out just a bit someone will grab them. 👍

Beautiful 2022 start on scrap Mike. Saw the gloves and long sleeves and knew you were out when the 29 degree weather hit....but then you showed them shorts man. You must be cold blooded. Would love to see the scrap run on this. Wires, iron, Christmas lights, light fixtures a really good mix of stuff.
I'm curious what boots you went with. I've tried everything over the years. My go to is "Georgia boots 6 inch wedge steel toes". Puts Redwing to shame. I wrecked all my Redwings. Theyre a little pricey but they're that leather that molds to your foot as you work. So give them a bit to break in and you're golden. I stand all day with no foot pain. Jumping in and out of truck beds. They sell a more aggressive sole version, but I've never tried that version, so I can't vouch for comfort. I image the wedge sole is easier on the dogs. But I will be buying the aggressive sole version as well pretty soon. Sometimes you just need that grip.

In a dumpster full of aluminum wire, greenfield flex, and conduit. Picks up 2” factory elbows and wonders if they’re for exhaust pipe 🤦🏻♂️ lol sorry mike, my electrician brain took over. Those were just bends for running big conduit, witch wire like that you found goes into. EMT is dangerous if welded, risk of zinc poisoning because it’s galvanized.
The info about the Christmas tree having a metal core was ingenuous!! I look right past the trees looking for metal pieces. That was the biggest duh!! This year so not bad.
Hey MIKE, you might want to consider using a respirator when your handling those lights when your pulling t by e from the dumpster. Saw all that dust flying up and can here the sound of the broken bulbs, not sure if all but I know a lot of those florousent build contain Murcury and other highly toxic chemicals that you shouldn't be breathing in. It might not make you I'll at the moment but down the road and with semi continues exposure I cam do some really nasty thing to you.

The 500 is the size. The other smaller is 412. Aluminum shield, dielectric is the foam or plastic surrounding the center conductor.
