    Hair type- 2c, low porosity. This hair cream is perfect for low porosity hair as it’s protein free. I totally agree that it’s tricky to use. The cream requires a lot of emulsifying. I have used it with Giovanni gel (glycerin free) and it worked beautifully. As for gel, it just doesn’t work in high humidity. It was a bummer.

    I’ve tried using gels that come with those small wands like mascara applicators, but they get stuck in my hair, and the gel doesn’t get applied thick enough to hold my hair all day. I finally got the littlllextra neatfix hair finishing stick, and it applies nice and smooth-seriously, it has made all the difference. I can create any hairstyle with its help, and it gives my hair a very clean look!

    My experience with Arata duo-
    On my high porosity type 2c 3a and 3b culrs with medium dense 24 inch length of hair i need a little more than pea size of the cream and two times coin size amout of the gel.
    It took me more than 15 to 20 times of usage to learn exactly what amout is perfect for my hair...Do keep in mind that emulsifying the cream is the most important step while styling with Arata or it won't give definition but weight your hair down..also Arata cream might feel very waxy if you are not using any live in conditioner/deep conditiong your hair, at least this happened with me in my intial attempts with Arata.

    Long awaited video!! I got the cream and did not like the heaviness on my hair, but I get now that I need to mix it with water and apply a pea amount (since I have medium porosity hair) AFTER my leave in conditioner!! Thanks a ton for the video. ❤️ Would say it works better on hair that has been a bit trained already?

    • @MichelleManuel
      @MichelleManuel  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The beauty of the cream is that you don't need too much of it. It spreads very nicely in water. A tiny amount is more than enough for each section! Keep trying it in different ways. Avoid the first 1.5 inches at your roots. Like I said, every product will have a learning curve! ❤️

    I love the honest and detailed review Michelle!! Very well informed. Just one more suggestion- could you add in a point about the slip of the product

    • @MichelleManuel
      @MichelleManuel  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So the deal is, slip is only taken into consideration when we talk about conditioners (used for detangling purposes). That is when slip becomes important.
      In the case of stylers, slip is not considered as a factor. Both products shown in the video are stylers.

      I understand. Firstly I only do this routine once a week. Thats it. When I started I had only 3 products.
      1 shampoo
      1 conditioner (I used to use it as a leave in as well)
      1 aloe vera gel.
      I used only these 3 products from month 1 to 6. I haven't seen any effects as the products te sulphate and silicone free. There's a lot to learn when you start cgm. I've made elaborate videos for beginners.

    Emulsifying the cream looked like magic!!! Maybe this cream and enliven gel will give good results , did you try this combination? I am almost convinced to get the cream and not the gel because I am sucker for volume , my crown is super flat on day 1 so, I like my day 2 hair more actually because a little frizz gives me volume at the crown😁

    • @MichelleManuel

      I can't tell you with a hundred percent certainty, but what seems to really work for my curl clumps, would be; the wow coconut + avocado conditoner as leave in coupled with the orange enliven gel (but only when I upright style) I can't hold onto my curl clumps with upside down styling. A few days and they're gone. The blue enliven gel also works well but I've noticed that the orange one gives me more structure since it has keratin. Hope this helps. ❤️

      Your hair is wavy, it will stay wavy.
      When you follow a styling routine, you will have defined curls. That's the only difference.
      A certain amount of curl training does happen with time, however, if you choose not to style you won't have to worry about the definition.
      Please have a look at my curly hair journey videos to see what happens with time to styled and naked hair.

    So my hair is very confusing... Some are high porosity and some low porosity then my front section is 2c 3a curly while back is 2a 2b while some at the wide back are just 1c.
    And using these combination I don't know worked wonders for me. Now bear in mind... For extra hold and a little bit of fragrance , I always a second gel - FML hair gel cuz that has a good smell.
    So this worked great as long as I was putting less cream (once ) and two gels ( too much of it ) on SOAKING WET hair.
    If you put on damp hair- it's gonna leave greasy look. So low porosity hair it's aweosme. I found it better than enliven gel maybe cuz enliven alcohol makes my hair too much dry.

    This duo just did not work for me. I have 2b/2c hair type. The first time I applied it on damp hair. It felt like it has sucked all the moisture from my hair. My hair became extremely dry and for the same reason I had crazy hairfall.
    I tried it again on dripping wet hair it wasn't as bad as before but wasn't extremely good. I get there same results from using enliven conditioner along with homemade flaxseed gel.
